Project Manager 9/2007 to 11/2008

Managed a software development and consulting team for a major Las Vegas strip resort. Adapted current systems to incorporate financial management, analytical reporting and support of a large expansion tower hotel and casino. Developed specialized applications including a data warehouse, a player value analysis marketing system and an integrated web-based reservation system.

Accomplishments:
• Project Manager and Supervisor of a team of eight developers and designers
• Managed the major, time-restricted project supporting the opening of the new resort building. Development and testing was completed with all requirements implemented and through regulatory approval to go into production at the strict opening date deadline.

Professional services consultant for casino patron operations, process engineering, software & hardware installation and installation training for the casino management system in Class II Gaming.

Chief Technology Officer 5/2004 to 7/2005

Executive leader for the redesign and rebuilding of the IT Infrastructure to provide stability and increased operational function and capacity. Managed day to day IT operational support for the entire 24 x 7 gaming and business operation.

Accomplishments:
• Designed and implemented the $2M infrastructure rebuilding and growth of this major mid-west Class II gaming casino. Project resulted in an extremely stable IT operational environment.
• Led the casino growth from 470 to more than 1200 slot machines, producing more than double the daily wager value.
• Managed the IT support team (approximately 11 programmers and technicians) supporting the business and gaming operation.
• Planned and implemented Micros POS system, Navision accounting and EasyPay ticketing systems.
• Developed and implemented major improvements in player satisfaction through player club/marketing technology. Created a player tracking system which registered over 30,000 players in the first two months.
• Initiated the use of data marketing extracts for all mail and on-site promotions.

• Medical Software System Design -- Contracted by a local medical clinic to investigate and design a system to make them HIPAA compliant. Documented system requirements and delivered a design proposal for a medical billing and patient tracking system.

• Bally Gaming and Systems -- Contracted (CDI) to solve a problem in storing, managing and retrieving critical documents when they are requested by regulatory agencies. Researched and designed a new digital document repository for these critical regulatory documents.

• Chief Technology Officer- LogicComps, Inc. -- Cofounder of a startup company creating a real-time player marketing system for the gaming industry. Designed a system to reach the company's goal to bring Internet e-commerce level marketing formulas, architecture and systems to the marketing and player relationship areas of casino operations.

Project Manager of Games R&D 2/2001 to 10/2002

Recruited as design team manager to create the latest in video and electro-mechanical slot machines and other casino systems. Project phases spanned from early game concept through regulatory approval and casino installation.

Accomplishments:
• Developed, documented and implemented a manageable engineering process and master schedule plan. These new procedures saved 2-4 weeks in each game title development, a savings of approximately $4000 per design.
• Directed procedural changes for testing functionality and regulatory standards for all new games; regulatory approval rate significantly increased from 50 to 95% on all submissions.
• Implemented the R&D Quality Assurance Test Lab and certified machines for regulatory submission.
