QA Director, Configuration and Release Manager
VPIsystems, Inc. NJ (VPI Development Center, Minsk, Belarus) 2002 - present
VPIsystems develops and markets network planning enterprise level software solutions and services for the telecommunications industry.
Direct QA, Testing, Configuration and Release activities with geographically dispersed technical teams through SDLC.
Share best practices across the organization. Ensure that the planned level of the product quality is achieved and documented and all activities are performed in accordance with the test plan and processes. Manage up to 7 QA teams of 20+ persons, including hiring, training, mentoring, firing, managing workload priorities, planning, tracking, risk mitigating, auditing and reporting.
Manage Configuration domain including the software production, release, escrowing, administration and maintenance of the versioning system (Wincvs). Implement effective backup and restoration procedures.
Administrate the ClickTime time management system. Manage the in-house Change management system.
Manage the VPI licensing project based on FLEXnet Publisher from Acresso.

Key contributions:
-Developed and implemented QA process saving up to 1/3 of the Release Phase time.
-Implemented effective test automation strategy using tools from HP (Quick Test Pro, WinRunner, TestDirector/Quality Center) for GUI and scripting for Data Model testing.
-Increased effectiveness of the VPI product development process implementing the build production system with management access through Web.
-Four persons trained and successfully promoted to managerial positions.

Coordinated testing activities with QA and development teams supporting several concurrent product releases.
