Consultant was onsite as the Payroll Lead for setup in Oracle HRMS for 12,000 employees. Consultant worked on advanced Element and design for Deductions and Employer Contributions for 6 Different Unions, Element Design for Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Plans across 8 different Service Lines and Divisions, and 28 different PTO Accrual Plans. In addition, Consultant defined 12 different payment methods and 22 different payrolls, and created over 100 Fast Formulas for PTO Accrual Plans, Benefits, Elements and BIS Reports. Consultant also configured and designed setup and elements to accommodate an Interface for payroll of client's Canadian division whereby data in Oracle HRMS is passed to ADP Canada (for Payroll Outsourcing). Lastly, Consultant helped design and test a custom Time Entry System that serves as a front-end to both Oracle Payroll and Oracle Projects, which includes intricate payroll business rules such as Prevailing Wage, Variable Piecerate, FLSA Average Base Rate calculations for Overtime, and Varying Project Rates.

Consultant assisted this telemarketing company with an upgrade from HRMS release 10.7 NCA to 11i. He wrote a number of Fast Formulas, as well as designed and tested modifications to their payroll processes, NACHA Files, and interface from Kronos Time and Attendance system to BEE. He also improved performance of Deposit Advice and Check Writer processes by ensuring that the Latest_Balances table got populated with any/all balances required and used by the processes.

Consultant was a member of the Payroll and Configuration Team where this client was going through a Global Implementation of Oracle HRMS in over 19 countries. He gathered international payroll requirements for locations in China, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, UK, France, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, and Indonesia. He assisted with the implementation of Global HR for this client, and assisted client in outsourcing their payroll globally based on interfaces from Oracle to Payroll vendors in each respective country. He assisted in payroll vendor selection for international locations. He configured HRMS data using EITs to accommodate each respective country's data and designed specifications for interface of data from Oracle HRMS to Payroll Outsourcing vendors in each respective global location. He designed PTO Accrual Plans. Using the “Dataloader” Excel Macro, Consultant configured and loaded legacy data into Oracle for areas of the application where no APIs exist - saving the customer countless hours of data entry. Consultant also participated in the OAB implementation for this client where he wrote a number of Fast Formulas for Oracle Advanced Benefits.

05/1999 - 05/2000 - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, West Palm Beach, FL - Payroll/OTM Lead
Oracle HRMS application with Payroll and OTM, Release 11i - Windows NT
Consultant served a dual role as OTM Lead and Payroll Lead at this county law enforcement agency. For an organization with approximately 2,500 employees, Consultant was responsible for the entire setup and testing of payroll, including the many interfaces. Besides writing a number of Fast Formulas and complex Element configurations, Consultant also had to take great care to ensure that the Payroll would work smoothly with the Oracle Time Management application. Consultant performed the Gap Analysis of the OTM, and wrote the customization design, and worked with a team of developers who wrote the OTM customizations to accommodate Law Enforcement's 28-Day FLSA period, as well as other necessary modifications such as absence validations, 28-Day Timecards but with Semi-monthly Payroll, and special Overtime functionality. Using the “Dataloader” Excel Macro, Consultant configured the macros and converted data from the legacy Time and Attendance system to OTM. This law enforcement agency is the first OTM Licensee to customize OTM for the 28-day Overtime rules. Other interfaces and customizations Consultant was involved with at this engagement include: EEO-4 Report, Custom Process to update employees' “Proposed_Salary” based on changes to the Grade-Rate table, and 401K and Benefits Feeds to 3rd Party Carriers.

Oracle HR and Payroll, Release 10.7 NCA, Unix Sun Solaris
Consultant was the Payroll Lead involved in HRMS/Payroll Application Setup, Balance Conversion/Initialization, Writing Fast Formulas, Payroll data conversion, parallel payroll testing, and NACHA setup. Working with a technical consultant, Consultant developed a Balance Initialization and conversion methodology for a mid-year conversion of employee year-to-date figures covering 36 different states. He mapped all of the necessary/required balances for each different state, and automated the conversion using a custom cross-reference table. Consultant also developed a test to ensure successful load of all necessary legislative balances.

Consultant traveled to South America to assist in the Oracle Time Management implementation for this customer in the Water transportation Industry. Consultant conducted Project Team Training to their core staff who would be implementing OTM. Consultant also gathered Time and Attendance Requirements to provide OTM setup suggestions to customer, as well as to identify gaps in functionality of OTM.

Consultant was a member of the implementation team working at this telemarketing company, which was one of the first customers to go live with HRMS 10.7 NCA. He was instrumental in QA and parallel payroll testing, Fast Formulas, setting up and testing the NACHA, end-user training, and post-live production support.

Oracle HR and Payroll, and OTM, Release 10.7 SC
Working as an Independent Consultant, Consultant served as the OTM Lead for the Oracle implementation for this customer in the energy industry. He gathered the Time and Attendance Requirements, and designed the setup of OTM which included the autogeneration of Timecards for Hourly employees, so the Users would not have to create their Timecards.

While employed as an Oracle HRMS Consultant for Aris Corporation, Consultant worked as a member of an implementation team at an Employee Leasing company where he assisted them with the phased payroll rollout of clients/employees in Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. This involved creation/testing of new Payroll setups, Benefits and Elements, as well as Tip handling and Certified Payrolls. This customer has the distinction of being not only one of the first Oracle HRMS implementations (as it took place in 1996) but is also currently one of Oracle's largest customers paying their employees with Oracle Payroll.

03/1997 -10/1997 - Oracle Corporation, Redwood Shores, CA - OTM Pre-Sales Consultant
Oracle HRMS and OTM Releases 10.7SC and 10.7 NCA, Unix Sunsparc Solaris (“Tadpole Server”)
While an employee of Aris Corporation, Consultant assisted Oracle Corporation on a number of Pre-Sales Presentations - both inside and outside of the United States - where he demonstrated the Oracle Time Management (OTM) product. In addition, Consultant performed OTM Training for Oracle, as well as OTM Project Team training to a number of Customers for Oracle.

12/1996 -03/1997 - OHM Remediation Services, Findlay, OH - OTM Consultant
Oracle HR and Payroll, and OTM, Release 10.7SC, HPUX
While an employee of Aris Corporation, Consultant worked on the very first implementation of Oracle Time Management. For this client, that was in the environmental remediation industry, Consultant assisted in the design of a number of customizations to OTM which included: interfacing Timecard data to Oracle Projects, handling weighted overtime according to different projects, and handling Prevailing Wage validations. Traveling to multiple sites through the country, Consultant also conducted end-user training of OTM for client.

08/1996 -12/1996 - Technisource Inc., Fort Lauderdale, FL - Payroll/HR Manager
Implementation of Great Plains CS+ Payroll with Icontrol HR Module, MS SQL Server
Served as both Payroll Manager and HR Manager for company with 1000+ employees. Worked on a project to automate the H1-B VISA Sponsorship program to allow company to fill more technical positions. Created online Employee Handbook for company's IntraNet (Lotus Notes). Completed HRMS system conversion from formerly outsourcing to Great Plains C/S+ software and Icontrol HR and Direct Deposit modules. Worked on a project with Barnett Bank of Florida whereby Cross-Border ACH payments would be sent to Technisource employees who reside in Canada. Worked on a project to produce “paperless paychecks” whereby any employee on Direct Deposit will not receive a pay stub in the mail - they will receive it via e-mail. Integrated Lotus Notes (Release 4.0) between all of 12 offices to facilitate the collection of contractors' hours, as well as other applications such as electronic start forms, electronic termination forms, electronic change forms, etc? Enhanced company's benefit plans by adding a dental plan, as well as voluntary Life, STD and LTD. Cut the Prenote Period from 3 weeks down to 1 week for Direct Deposit enrollees using a new direct deposit method I created, called the “Prenote Penny.”

01/1995 -08/1996 - OutSource International, Boca Raton, FL - HRIS Specialist
Payroll Outsourcing using Payroll System for PEOs called PayPlus
Served as a New Accounts Coordinator where I facilitated the initial conversion of new client's payroll information into PEO's HR/Payroll system, then processed the first four payrolls for that client before transferring payroll duties to the processing department. Served as HRIS Specialist on a development team that worked on a number of projects such as Remote Payroll Entry software, payroll system enhancements, Interactive Voice Response system, Automated Time and Attendance Systems, and the selection and implementation of a new Payroll/HR software system. Automated a significant portion of the payroll processing of 10000+ employees by developing and implementing new Report Scheduling program. Assisted in the system administration of a multi-state HR/Payroll system which maintained records for and paid over 10,000 employees in 35 states and District of Columbia. Was awarded the Employee of the Year award for 1995 at OutSource International.
