PROJECTS

MiscroStrategy Report Developer
• Fully designed, developed and implemented Apparel Custom Daily Sales Analysis by Season report while following governance processes and company standards. Apparel report's provided flexible daily sales analysis by allowing the users to choose from a list of sales metrics at the selected level of organizations hierarchy, PCS hierarchy, vendors, brands and apparel seasons.
• As per business requests; the report had a specific layout including; attributes, facts, metrics, hierarchies, prompts, filters, custom groups, consolidations, transformations, and drilling options. The Season report also included other non-functional features such as security, performance, portability, scheduling, data retention, data availability and governance limits.
• For testing purposes created and implemented multiple tests and test cases (unit, regression, and user acceptance tests) for The Season report in both web and desktop environments to ensure the report results were complete and accurate.

Database Systems
• Fully designed and developed database management systems, for a book dealer and real estate offices using DB2, SQL and JDBC. Ensured that system allowed for maintaining information pertaining to the client, book dealer and real-estate offices as well as recording information for the various types of transactions made.
• Gained a thorough understanding of both relational and semantic database models.

Software Design
• Designed, implemented and tested a SimOdyssey program which is a simplified simulation of a galaxy in Eiffel programming language. Developed high level bon static and dynamic diagrams.

• Worked with various systems (Postbill, POS, Databank, HOP, Promotion Manager, Product Manager, Store systems, XBR, and RSR) to devlier data to National Datawarehouse.
• Carried out day to day MicroStrategy administrative tasks by providing access to various groups/users by setting security on projects, reports and object levels. Additional acted as an administrator for SharePoint.
• Used homegrown ETL tools and Unix scripts to extract, modify and load data.
• Worked with Data Modeling tools such as MS Visio to explore and communicate complex information.
• Carried a pager while tackling and resolving various issues (Report failures, maximum run time alarms, server crashes, autosys jobs) and discussing daily encountered issues with Loblaw's and offsite team.
