? Internet Protocol(IP) Camera

Client- Acuity System, USA

Duration: September 2008-December 2008

Overview: Internet protocol Camera is a state-of-art technology device by using which video data can be streamed over Ethernet and hence provide the facility to view the live video on internet over a long distance. It supports MPEG4, H.264 and MJPEG video compression modes. Whole prototype unit is composed of three different PCB boards: Capture board, Power board and Digital Encoder board.
The goal of our tests is to provide recommendations on the real world capabilities of cameras and the best way to use those cameras in the field. The target audience of these reviews is the integrator or end user responsible for deploying or using the cameras.

Role:
Performing role of Software Testing Engineer, Functionality testing in IP/Network Camera Application and verification of features from end user perspective:
• Verification of Video Streaming protocols such as RTP/RTSP.
• Video quality verification over supported clients such as Quick Time, VLC etc.
• Done manual testing on the IP camera GUI.
• Performing Image Quality Testing, Video Quality Testing, Audio Quality Testing, Interface Testing, Environment Testing (Platform & Browser).

? Video Management System(VMS) & Video Analytics

Overview: Video Management System (VMS) is intended to meet the enterprise security needs and to provide seamless & centralize management of video, audio and data over the IP network. This will work with different IP cameras like axis, zavio and merced etc and allows managing, configuring and monitoring of these cameras.
Video Analytics includes the Face Detection and Face Recognition is a computer technology that determines the locations and sizes of human faces in arbitrary (digital) images. It detects facial features and ignores anything else, such as buildings, trees and bodies.

Role:
• As a Software Testing Engineer, focusing on Black Box Testing, Testing Documentation Design and Video Algorithms and Analytics.
• Writing detailed test plan of various feature of VMS as well as FDFR (Face Detection and Face Recognition).
• Execution of test plan.
• Done manual as well as automation testing on Video management software.
• Done manual testing on the Video Analytics software.
• Part of a team that was doing development and testing on a real time, distributed software application for video surveillance systems.
• Designed and wrote test cases, use cases and checklists for the product using input from the software team and documentation.

? Design and development of I2C Bus Controller for FPGA implementation

Overview -- I2C is a two-wire, bi-directional serial bus that provides a simple and efficient method of data exchange between devices. It is most suitable for applications requiring occasional communication over a short distance between many devices. The I2C standard is a true multi-master bus including collision detection and arbitration that prevents data corruption if two or more masters attempt to control the bus simultaneously.

EDA tools -- Cadence NC-SIM, RTL Compiler, Xilinx project Navigator.
? Modified Series Inverter: An inverter is a circuit for converting direct current to alternating current. They are used in a wide range of applications, from small power supplies for a computer to large industrial applications to transport bulk power. This is modified series inverter using advanced form of transistors or similar devices such as thyristors.
? Water Level Indicator: This project's circuit diagram indicates the amount of water present in the overhead tank and gives an alarm when the tank is full. The circuit uses the widely available CD4049, bilateral switch CMOS IC to indicate the water level through LEDs.
