ACADEMIC PROJECTS: • WIFI -- Perspective QoS: Implemented a project based on 802.11 MAC and QoS in WLAN. • TCP/UDP relay: Designed a TCP/UDP gateway for higher efficiency using Kernel Socket Programming in Linux. • DFS : Designed & implemented a Distributed File System • A Miniature of B3G Network: Understanding the principles of wireless network architecture and techniques by constructing a miniature network using OPNET. • Implemented a non preemptive thread library that supports all standard thread functionalities. • Implemented a shell which parses input commands and runs them. • Implemented a fingerprint authentication system for fingerprint analysis and pattern matching. • Developed a P2P network consisting of several computers or peers that directly exchange data among themselves unlike the client server model where all clients get data from a server • Implemented projects in Connection Oriented Networks and Optical Networks to explore RWA algorithms and traffic grooming algorithms.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Research Assistant at NCSU (summer 2008 -- spring 2009) Integrated z-series into a heterogeneous computing cloud and semantic web service implementation.
Senior Engineer Networking & Communications Division, Tata Elxsi Ltd, C# & .NET (Oct2003--Jul 2007) • Developed and tested physical level module which represents the real world entities in the production environment for UAG. Designed, Developed and tested the Database Layer and Resource Handling Modules. UAG is a control system design tool used by process industry automation engineers for system design and automatic code (PLC) generation.
• Designed and implemented a multi-protocol gateway for Network Management System Framework, which can be used by the layers above for communication with devices. This gateway provides features such as command grouping, session management, plug-in support for protocols etc.
• Life Size Control -- Designed and implemented Alarm Management, Status Management and Configuration Management Features. An Element Management System for Multi Vendor Video Conferencing Networks.
