Install, activate, maintain and operate data and voice circuits, originating on the low data rate side of a multiplexer, through routers/switches and bridges/hubs to servers, using Win 2000, Win 2003 or later versions to LAN cabling to the desktop workstation, notebook or PC client operating with desktop running Win 95/98/2000 or later versions. Utilize knowledge in the set-up, use, and maintenance of Voice Over IP (VoIP) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC), ensuring that all client software is properly functioning and operating and can pass critical e-mail, multimedia, VoIP and VTC data. Additionally, installed the interconnecting LAN, programmed IP addresses, set permissions, and otherwise set up software programs in the routers/switches to independently provide an operating system. Data was segregated by a router and is the responsibility of the Network Administrator/Analyst to provide proper routing, connectivity and operations. Assisted a Satellite Communications (SatCom) technician with the interconnections from the multiplexer to a fly-away satellite terminal package and it was the responsibility of the Network Systems Analyst to ensure the total fly-away system is functioning properly. As the site lead for the Multimedia communications package at Camp Anaconda Iraq, ensured that all network connectivity was at 100% availability and that users were compliant with all regulations that were imposed by the US government. Several of the services that where provided to the customers were NIPRNET, SIPERNET, Voice Over IP (VoIP) telephone services, Video teleconference service (VTC), Email Service (EXCHANGE). These services were provided to the customer 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. We provided network Analysis, Systems integration, implementation and desk top support.
