WORK EXPERIENCE SQL Developer - Jan. 2007 - Jun. 2007 (Contractor) Natures Sunshine Products, Provo, UT Building a Star Topology data warehouse using query builder to create DTS packages for Staging, Dimension and Fact tables. Analyzing 16 international markets across six languages to create reports and normalize data across all markets in order to join data in Domestic markets.
SQL Developer - Feb. 2006 - Nov. 2006 (Contractor) American Express, Taylorsville, UT Increased accuracy in forecasting projects by designing and implementing an Access Data Project (Access front end SQL Server Backend) for day to day tracking of projects and forecasting available hours. Moved several access databases to a Access Data Project. Tune Databases by creating more efficient stored procedures and T-SQL statements. Set up links to MS Project and other databases to eliminate duplicate data entry.
Database Developer/IT Support - Mar. 2005 - Aug. 2005 (Contractor) Educators Mutual Association, Murray, UT Designed and implemented Database systems. First system improved Tracking of purchases and moved their process from MS Excel to MS Access enhancing speed accuracy and the ability to create reports. The Second was an asset tracking system as well as software tracking which resulted in savings for the new computer software. The third was a Telecommunications database for the Harris phone system which improved the ability to change phone lines from 60+ minutes to under 5 minutes. Built an inventory application on a PDA which shortened the time to inventory physical assets and trace phone lines. Expanded the capabilities of an existing SQL server database in a test environment by altering and populating existing tables. well as software tracking which resulted in savings for the new computer software. Database Developer/IT Support - Jan. 2005 - Apr. 2005 (Contracter) Performance Plus Employment Services, Murray, UT Designed and implemented Database system to track temporary employees wages, time worked as well as client information. Consolidated a three step process into to one step saving time and increasing accuracy. Move from excel to access. Rebuilt the network hardware infrastructure. Enhanced the speed and operation of the desktop PC's.
Database Administrator - Feb. 1996 - Oct. 2000 Primary Children's Medical Center, SLC, UT Coordinated leadership in design and implementation of engineering program data management systems. Analyzed needs, requirements and scope of information system. Developed and maintained documentation tools and data collection instruments that generated program outcome reports. Integrated EMMA, AS4000, and Kronos database information. Migrated from one database platform to another using RDBMS, ODA, ODBC, and SQL while maintaining work flow. Wrote programs that interfaced with Database through PDA's for preventative maintenance and infection control. Modified and documented program code to correct errors and to enhance program capabilities. Instructed the majority of engineering department in basic computer skills. Prepared reports on status, operation, and maintenance of system software. Within two weeks decreased the amount of time on the close process construction files from 3 days to 10 minutes. Built a database that tracks all resources (hours, materials, wages etc..) for construction projects that totaled more than $2,500,000 a year. Database grew to the point that it currently handles more than 250,000 new records each year Created system that managed fire door and fire wall inspection that resulted in the safety status of the building improving from 'warning' status to 'clear' status. Streamlined Work order process that resulted in the average days to complete a work order went from 160+ days to less than 30 days. Created reports using statistical math and graphs that forecast upper, midrange low expectations.

Maintained, upgraded, and troubleshot computers hrough ACAD and engineering software. Prepared presentations using desk top publishing practices and procedures that incorporated perspective renderings, floor plans, spreadsheets, and other pertinent technical information. Created an estimating program for in-house construction and maintenance, decreasing the average estimate time from 1 day to 20 minutes. Setup, help maintain and trained coworkers on MS Project. Built and maintained as-built drawings in Auto-Cad for entire hospital for facility management and finance which increased accuracy of facilities management and brought in increased revenue from per square foot charges.
