IT Advisor 2000 -- current
Took direct responsibility for implementation of projects to develop and implement key information systems. This required developing proposals for executive team and negotiation of services from third parties. This was a challenging initiative given the association had no prior IT plan or integrated systems however the efforts resulted in the association implementing technologies that fulfilled requirements and streamlined business processes while enhancing communications with its membership.

• Successfully moved in-house all Web and email and DNS services to facilitate integration of back office systems to the website for membership information using PHP, MySQL, Apache, MSSQL. Management, development and updates of association websites.
• VPN -- Virtual private Network -- an initiative to facilitate high speed secured connectivity with office in Ottawa and remote users.
• Firewall -- implemented and maintain firewall systems
• ExpoCad -- an initiative to implement a system to manage a industry traded show started by the association, Truckworld Expocad provided a singe tool to manage all booking and reporting on the event. Beta tested and implement link between GoldMine and ExpoCad as well as ExpoCad and new Web application ExpoCad VR.
• FileNexus -- an initiative to implement a digital archive system that facilitated data mining of all information generated or received by the association.
• GoldMine -- a customer relationship management tool implemented and extensively customized to fufill the requirements of the association.
• eTransact -- a business initiative to work with AccPac to implement a eCommerce application that integrated with back office systems that required minimal user interaction.
• PeopleWare -- a business initiative to implement a solution to manage all aspects of the association's annual convention started in 1926.
• ePOS -- a business initiative to implement a Point of Sale system that integrates with the back office for the associations order desk.
