Introduction:
A veteran systems engineer, with intensive product development experience and RFID (Radio Frequency ID) strategist and technologist, my most recent project is a complete location based design delivery and support system for mobile applications that enable process and asset management, interoperable with any RFID data collection system. My system maximizes asset utilization by reducing RTLS (Real Time Location Systems) data to action in a manufacturing/healthcare environment, and represents a crucial step toward crossing the chasm between RTLS implementations and returns on investment.
Career Highlights:
* Founder of several startups and successful entrepreneur, my most recent venture was acquired by Vixia Healthcare, for 1.6 million over 16 months. This business was founded to leverage passive RFID in hospitals when active RFID was not yet viable, and continues in business today under Victor Mendes, past CEO of Brambles' Chep Pallet, Recall Corporation, and veteran private equity investor. * Product development and marketing team experience: Led marketing and product development for Allegro Avionics to double sales every six months for two years. Wrote collateral and marketing material, planned and presented at key national tradeshow appearances. Designed all product features related to performance and human interface, as well as critical production methods. * Sales and Marketing Team:. In my role of IS Director, Ameritrain Inc I supported 18 sales people and five Sales Directors across five locations and four states as technical sales support, to drive sales and marketing successes during a growth period from 3MM to 17MM annual sales. * Management; hired trained and managed staff of 30 instructors in various roles, including the core training products. Managed development of the company Cisco training plan, Novel networking training, Microsoft data base, Visual Basic instructors comprising new training courses accounting for about 20% of annual revenue. * Consulting: Presales and systems consulting for telecommunications companies Allied Riser and Netilla networks. Process and product development consulting for organizations including Goodroe Healthcare (Recently acquired by Cerner) Johns Hopkins, HCA, Vixia Healthcare, Piedmont Hospital, Emory University Hospital, US Biogistics, Apogee LLC, Active RFID Inc, Emory Eye Center.
