PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

IntraNext Systems Englewood, CO 3/08 -- 5/08
.NET developer and Analyst
* Worked on-site at a major satellite television provider on a critical, customer service and sales management application. My duties included trouble-shooting code and data issues as well as developing fixes to code-related defects and participating in architecture sessions regarding future development.
* In addition, I became responsible for the integration of external web services within the application as the momentum of development within this application was pushing it toward Service Orientation. This included both writing requests and handling (consuming) responses from disparate web service endpoints throughout the organization.
* This customer service application also included integrated functionality with a mainframe “green screen” application. We utilized a Rumba session to process calls and pull information from this external application.
* Served as a mentor and knowledge source for less experienced IntraNext developers.

SecureNet LLC Rockville, MD 1/08 -- 3/08
Contract-based ASP.NET Web developer
* Contracted by SecureNet to optimize their custom ASP.NET web application. This application was outsourced overseas and SecureNet was not happy with it's performance. The application was developed in C# 2.0 utilizing a Model View Controller architecture.
* Converted all forms in a highly-complex custom ERP system from using Infragistics controls to AJAX. Created custom AJAX controls as well as implemented AJAX Control Toolkit (ASP.NET) controls to supply SecureNet with over twenty reusable custom server controls.
* Developed windows service for consuming data files provided to SecureNet by a partner. The service monitors an ftp folder for files produced periodically throughout the day. When a file is placed in the folder the service determines the file type and source and parses the data, cleans and verifies, and inserts the data into a SQL Server 2005 database.
* Created custom management reporting module as an addition to the above data parsing functionality. This module was developed entirely in ASP.NET without the use of outside reporting packages.
* Optimized the SQL Server 2005 database and stored procedures.

Data Connect Corporation Englewood, CO 12/04 -- 1/08
ETL Developer/Database Administrator, Tradeshow Division
* Worked with a team of three .NET developers to create a custom Point-Of-Sale (POS) application for use at tradeshows. This application facilitated sales, lead-tracking, and price/rebate negotiations for the sales staff running the tradeshow booths. It also included sales tracking and trending functionality for the show hosts via any POS terminal on the floor or an ASP.NET 2.0 website, also developed by my team, accessible via a closed wireless network.
* Developed ASP.NET/AJAX solution to allow Data Connect clients to upload data files via our website. This solution provided instant feedback on file validity and statistical reporting to allow for quick analysis of data that has been loaded and needed to be loaded.
* Maintained all data-access and model code for Data Connects web-based tradeshow solution.
* Lead Database Administrator and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) developer utilizing both MySQL 4.x/SQL Server 2005. Responsible for designing both real-time OLTP database architectures for Tradeshow software and ASP solutions as well as a long-term data warehouse architecture for ASP, year-over-year trend reporting. Responsible for optimizing all code interaction with the databases and business object layers.
* Responsible for designing and implementing all internal and client reporting solutions utilizing a variety of reporting packages including Crystal Reports XI, Jasper Reports with iReport, and SQL Server 2005 reporting services.
* Previously product manager for tradeshow division. This included managing all development requests from customers. Developing strategies for expanding our market opportunities. Collaborating with both sales and marketing to create the best approaches to growing the tradeshow division.
* Sales engineering duties (i.e. Requirements analysis, customized sales presentations, etc.), project management and workflow optimization.
* Developed a number of procedures to streamline the operations of the tradeshow division. These procedures made it possible to double the number of shows we handle without increasing staff requirements.
* Designed and/or created custom applications that lead to increased productivity for the tradeshow division staff.
* On-site tradeshow manager. Managed teams up to 12 individuals on-site to coordinate operations of the tradeshow software solutions.
* Providing data integration and upload solutions for client legacy systems. Initially took control of DCC's legacy VB6 application for Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) functionality. While managing the existing VB6 code base, simultaneously designed and developed the next generation ETL tool in C# 2.0 using both WinForms and ASP.NET. This new ETL application significantly reduced the workload of the in-house data analysis and management team by exposing much functionality directly to the client.

GDXdata, Inc. Greenwood Village, CO 6/02 -- 12/04
Director of Implementation Services/Client Integration Developer and Architect
* Management of large technical implementations. This includes budget and timeline projections, scheduling and financial planning of development resources, as well as supervising development of enterprise-wide integration projects and custom document and content management solutions through the entire product development lifecycle.
* Manage a team of Implementation specialists whom are responsible for installing Document Imaging's document capture/retrieval software in networked environments.
* Training clients on the operation of this highly advanced software package.
* Providing ongoing technical support to our software's end-users.
* Sales engineering duties (i.e. Requirements analysis, customized sales presentations, etc.), project management and workflow optimization.
* Designing and implementing customized integrated document/content management solutions with existing client applications.
* Provide consulting services to Fortune 1000 clients to guide them through the process of establishing requirements, creating RFP's, evaluating proposals, and determining the best solution to fit all of their needs. This has, at times, included assisting developers in architecting custom solutions and managing projects from concept to rollout.
* Processing and conversion of data such as print spool files for importing in to a document management COLD/ERM solution. This includes converting many kinds of source data (EBCDIC, HEX, Binary, etc.) as well as intelligent print streams such as PCL to formatted ASCII text files. This was done through existing tools such as VEDIT but more frequently through custom coding, exercising my knowledge of regular expressions for data extraction.
* Design and implementation of our in-house Active-directory integrated Windows 2000 network.

Protocol, Inc. Denver, CO 9/2001 --6/2002
Floor Supervisor Customer Service/Technical Support
* Provided customer service and technical support to customers on the Intuit project.
* Trained and monitored all representatives on the project floor and handled employee relations issues.
* Was responsible for hitting targets for call volume and handle time as well as maintaining Intuits high level of customer satisfaction.
* Handled all top-level escalations from representatives and team leads.
* Designed new floor plan to better handle shift transitions and maximize supervisor coverage.

EDUCATION

SetFocus, LLC Parsippany, NJ 03/07 - 12/07
.NET Master's Program

* Developed solutions for diverse programming scenarios in C#, employing object--oriented programming concepts such as: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction.
* Used C# and ADO.NET to define and implement secure middle-tier components using both connected and disconnected environment strategies. Components were consumed by web applications and windows applications utilizing SQL Server and stored procedures to perform logical business transactions.
* Created and deployed XML Web Services using ASP.NET and Web Services Enhancements (WSE). Consumed Web Services from both Windows forms and ASP.NET web applications.
* Created complex business components in C# using .NET Class Library assemblies while migrating and implementing them in a multi-tier environment suitable for .NET Remoting, XML Web Services, Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) and COM+ to address application infrastructure issues associated with building scalable enterprise level applications used by many clients.
* Developed a Windows n-tiered “Public Library Management System” application and then ported the application to a dynamic ASP.NET Internet/Intranet model utilizing the same secure middle tier data access components. Non-public web pages were secured using Windows integrated and ASP.NET forms security models.
* Created Deployment projects for .NET applications using Microsoft's MSI packages.
