Summary of Experience

Station Casinos Inc.
Dec 2003 -- May, 2008 Sr. I-Series Developer -- During this period of time I interfaced with marketing, cage, hotel, and casino users lay out requirements and risks in order to improve the data warehouse, hotel, and casino management systems. I defined, planned, and created several interfaces to the casino from other systems to improve functionality and customer interfaces. I used my experience with the multiple systems to craft links that improved all of the required metrics and met the business cases. The last two years have been spent mainly on the data warehouse, closely working with the marketing analysts using best business practices to create a data business model to fit their needs. I gathered business requirements, assisted the users on justifying ROI, designed database and ETL constructs, documented them with Visio as data flow diagrams, and implemented the solutions into the data warehouse using tools and custom programs. This included new and changed ETL's, upgrading the patron matching software, and supervising contract employees in the creation of extracts from third party databases into the warehouse constructs.
June 2000 Dec 2003: AS/400 Programming Manager -- Using SDLC methods, I Managed 8 programmers on casino, GL, and hotel IT projects . I would meet with senior users to define business needs. I would meet with developers to plan the changes. Then the software functional specifications for user would be produced for approval and the scope of the project was set. Then the available resources were examined to determine deadlines for the software engineers. I managed any requirement changes and made sure that all projects were closed properly. In addition I continued to be the project lead for installation of the casino package into new properties including the Green Valley Ranch, Wild Wild West, Wildfire, and Thunder Valley, a Native American property located in Auburn, California. I was the, “30B6”, or company expert witness during the patent lawsuit with Harrah's corporation. Stations defended the software design of the multi-property casino management system, and successfully contested three patents previously held by Harrah's dealing with casino applications. This involved daily contact with internal and external experts, weekly reporting and meetings with senior management, and testimony to opposing attorneys.

Station Casinos Inc. - continued
June 1999 to June 2000 Project Manager -- I was the lead on installing the multi-property casino management system into the properties in Las Vegas, Missouri, and California. The first properties to be installed were the Kansas City and St. Charles in Missouri. This involved dealing with remote locations, multi-jurisdictional compliance of software, managing the required changes to the software, and traveling with the install team to finalize the requirements and install the software in coordination with other installation teams. This was a $100,000 project brought in on time and under budget. The next property was the Fiesta Rancho. I had to coordinate with four other project teams dealing with slot, hotel, financial, and hardware upgrades. Each project manager reported to the main project manager for the property project. This continued with the Reserve property, (now the Fiesta Henderson), Santa Fe, and Barleys. Depending on the size of the properties, this put me in direct charge of two additional people before the install and five during the actual install and post property support of the software. In each iteration, I was required to improve on cost and efficiency of the process, always meeting deadlines and cost targets.
Sept 1997 to June 1999 AS/400 Programmer/Analyst -- I worked with a team of three programmers in the creation of multi-property casino management software - “The One Card Project”, and assisted in the installation in four separate properties here in the Las Vegas valley. This involved replacing the various cage systems with the standard cage transaction system associated with the player tracking module, conversion of old cage data, and supporting the installation. Next we installed the player tracking system into each property, linking it with the slot tracking system, and training the users on the new software. The final step was to link the four properties together so the player could be identified as a single person at all four properties. This involved unit and site testing, sharing the results and analysis with the marketing users, and working with them on a plan to take the software to the live floor. We integrated changes from outside vendors performing matching of customers from the separate databases allowing instant conversion of customer information, trained and supported the users on go-live activities. I was charged with documenting the status reports for senior management using Word and Visio, and served as a single point of contact for that group to understand the software as developed and how it would impact the business. I performed rapid development of the first data marts for player and profitability analysis using the Showcase product and customized programs.

Cardinal West, Inc. - A Division of Cardinal Health
December 1994 to September 1997
Sr. Programmer/Analyst -- I performed the lead on all AP and system support projects for this Fortune 500 firm. I assisted with planning and implementing system configuration changes to the systems. I worked with the operations and management staff to define and create a network file manager that received and processed AP and AR requests from thirty plus divisions into the corporate database for processing. I performed the system and user requirement analysis to eliminate the printing of monthly reports and send them electronically across the nation to each division and to the corporate office. This saved the company money each month by eliminating the two days of sorting and mailing the reports to each division. I was the lead on evaluation of new AP packages and developed the project plan to install the new software. I worked with the senior management of all divisions as well as corporate in the creation of inter-departmental notes to replace the printing and mailing of checks within the company. I designed the purge of old AP records and the retrieval methodology to save time and space on the systems. I managed the conversion of the Whitmire, Allentown, and CDII acquisitions to the software standards of Cardinal Health. Each of these companies brought in multiple divisions to Cardinal at the same time, doubling the size of the company. I worked with Walgreen and corporate personnel in the development of the automatic rebate process. I performed the analysis and drew up the specifications for the payment trend analysis reporting to corporate, working closely with senior

executives in Las Vegas and in Dublin, Oh. on the formatting and analysis of these reports. I implemented a new fee structure for charging divisions on checks written for them. This lowered their costs for writing multiple checks to companies in order to secure better discounts. I worked with American Express personnel in the data extraction and analysis for expense reporting and tracking, setting up a new system that linked with AE to better track the employee expense reporting. I managed the software conversion for the CISC to RISC conversion on the AS/400, handling this with no additional down time or errors. I was in charge of the optical document archival server for the accounts receivable statements sent or faxed out from the company. Finally I performed the analysis and changes to create one electronic payment out of multiple payments in order to save the company fees on each transaction.
