Transitioned and matured this FORTUNE 200 consumer lending company's IT PMO into a Portfolio Management environment by identifying, developing and implementing the necessary policy and procedural changes, realigning the IT organization along Lines of Businesses and deploying Clarity, Computer Associates Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which replaced a half dozen, labor intensive applications and databases with one all encompassing and powerful platform.

As a Program Manger successfully deployed Computer Associates Clarity as primary Portfolio and Project Management platform reducing operating expenses by $550,000 annually while concurrently transitioning the organization from a Project Delivery to a Portfolio Management environment, this effort received the CIO's Capital One Gold Award for Process Excellence.

Knowledge and experience in configuration, development, testing, and deployment of CA Clarity including custom filed, partitioning, and custom portlets & reports utilizing J2EE, JSP and XML Open Gateway (XOG) and Clarity Studio. Supervised 2 Business Analysts and 4 Developers.

For this FORTUNE 100 technology service company, on their 8-year, $10,000,000,000 contract to upgrade the Navy and Marine Corps infrastructure performed comprehensive assessment of existing infrastructure throughout the San Diego region.

Conducted initial surveys of inside and outside plant / infrastructure at four major naval stations in Southern California delivering comprehensive topographical and technical documentation.

Conducted initial assessment and inventory of classified and unclassified distributed desktop systems at four major naval stations in Southern California.

PROGRAM MANAGER (Permanent), 2000 -- 2002
PROVIDIAN FINANCIAL, INC., San Francisco, California
Coordinated planning, design / development, construction, implementation and transfer of operations to a new state-of-the-art data center. Performed analyses, developed plans and coordinated activities with the architect and General Contractor, Facilities, Information Security, Risk Management and other projects. Orchestrated the on-time and $3,000,000 under-budget construction of a $14,000,000 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art data center with hybrid 2N redundant/distributed HVAC, commercial power, back-up power generation, UPS and telecom portals.

Implemented LAN/WAN on both UNIX and NT platforms as well as storage area network (SAN) utilizing Sun StorEdge Tape Library with redundant OC3 fiber for the datacenter.

Streamlined operations by integrating three diverse Project Management Offices into a single group with a common methodology and best practices modeled on PMI's PMBOK.
