Responsible for monitoring, administering, managing, and supporting network devices for US Army Corps of Engineers. Also responsible for providing security for a complex global wide area network including firewalls, routers, switches, out-of-band management appliances, network analyzer appliances, virtual private network (VPN) appliances, intrusion detection systems (IDS) and communication circuits.
Engineered and maintained US Army Corps of Engineer world-wide network consisting of some 500 routers on an MPLS and IP backbone with 2 internet connections running BGP4 along with connections to the Department of Defense's NIPRnet and approximately 90,000 computing nodes.
Provided support to Network Operation Center which was responsible for maintaining the US Army Corp of Engineers wide area network, along with turning up new sites, and planning for future growth
