Notes/Domino Quality Manager

Duties:
· Ensure that the Domino system in the Irish Parliament performs as expected and required by the ICT Unit. This involves oversight of the Domino system, including servers and applications, and providing strategic advice to Domino Administrators.
· Provide fourth-level customer support on all Notes/Domino issues, resolving them quickly and effectively using project management skills, team leadership skills, communication skills and of course expertise in Lotus Notes.
· Provide Domino administration and Notes development consultancy services directly to the Irish Parliament ICT Unit as requested or required, working with all levels of that organization from the Assistant Secretary General and down.
· Assist the Service Desk (helpdesk) manager in improving the overall customer service quality via process and policy improvement.
· Prepare proposals in response to Requests for Tender.
· Develop and support custom Lotus Notes applications as required.

Accomplishments:
· Ensured that the Domino system continued to work with no downtime.
· Personally resolved a major performance problem with the flagship Notes application to the satisfaction of the Assistant Secretary General, the Head of ICT, and the Fujitsu Account Manager. This involved working at the system level and the application development level.
· Co-prepared tender document that won the contract for a major (?200K) Notes application development project based on work done preparing the tender document. Presented to customer's senior management.
· Led the team that acquired the new Customer Relationship Management tool used to improve the quality of service delivered by the Support Desk.

Senior Domino Consultant

Duties:
· Administer a 30-server Domino installation to the satisfaction of the ICT Unit of the Irish Parliament, including clustering, SMTP and NRPC mail routing, security, BES (Blackberry) servers, Web servers, iNotes (Dom Web Access), replication, backup, etc.
· Architect of the Domino infrastructure to ensure proper function and healthy growth.
· Configure and install Domino R6 & 7 servers on Win 2003 platforms, including Windows install/config.
· Upgrade Server and client software.
· Fourth-level support on all Notes/Domino issues.
· Supervise the activities of up to 2 Domino administrators to ensure proper operation of the Domino system.
