Employee: Ported an Oracle 9i/10g data warehouse to the Netezza platform (Netezza is a data appliance similar to Teradata). Re-wrote Pro*C and DB2-to-Oracle Sync jobs using Informatica 7.1.; developed Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) routines using Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle/Netezza as the backend databases. Re-writing PL/SQL routines using Netezza nzsql and nzload utilities. Provide 24 x 7 Support to an existing, 1.2 terabyte, Oracle 9i star-schema data warehouse. Duties include (but not limited to), troubleshooting PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripts. tuning SQL statements; creating/enhancing new /existing programs. Reverse Engineering Schema's using ERWIN. Partitioning/Indexing/compressing ¼ terabyte tables. Managing resources (e.g. DASD, CPU, etc). Managing Infrastructure upgrades/changes (e.g. HP RP8400 Frame Migrations). Managing database upgrades (Oracle 8i/9i, 9i/10g). Creating data extracts using VB script, MS Access 2003 and Unix Shell scripts. Designing and implementing Informatica jobs to load datamarts and create flat files used to generate reports. Designed forms & reports to support our Demand Query Data Mart using Oracle Forms and Reports, Actuate and SQL Reports. Tuned SQL/PLSQL scripts using both cost based and rule based (hints) optimization techniques. Created PL/SQL scripts for extracting, transforming and loading data to/from a number of both Oracle and non-Oracle sources.
