Chicago, Illinois IT Project Lead; Associate Consultant; Network Administrator July 2005 to Present IT Project Lead -- Currently I am working as an IT Project Lead to manage several Projects within Diamond's IT group. Project Managed Domino to Exchange migration and administration best practices; I am also in the middle of implementing Network and Server monitoring to better capture the health of our system and to solves issues as they occur with minimal users impact. One other project that I am working on is to assess our Network security procedures and implement the best solution for intrusion detection. I have also worked on our IT Assessment project to learn and be able to provide recommendations to improve IT offering and services. I worked with the infrastructure team to administer the Network and Messaging environments which include all application servers, Windows, Active Directory and Lotus Domino Servers. In this role, I was responsible for upgrading Domino Servers, keeping these servers patched, and maintaining all Domino users and groups. I also maintained Blackberry environment; where I planned and implemented Blackberry. I maintained Blackberry Enterprise Server Architecture. I also served as a lead for network and server monitoring; I used NetiQ AppsManager to monitor the network and servers. I researched, planned and implemented network monitoring architecture. I also provided third-level support for any Lotus Notes or Blackberry related issues. I helped build and launched the company's helpdesk, where I performed some trend analysis and researched best practices; which I later implemented. March 1998 to August 1999 Rush North Shore Medical Center Skokie, Illinois PC Support Technician Assisted Network Coordinator to meet the overall services and processing objectives of the department through installation of PC hardware and software, troubleshooting users PC problems, conducting user training on an individual and small group basis, and assisting the network coordinator with network activities. Here I supported over 600 users, where I would help troubleshoot any PC issues and Network problems. Conducted network maintenance to set-up and configure new network, terminating connections, NT Domain users and group management, NT server builds, etc.
February 1997 to August 1999 Guidetech, Inc. Chicago, Illinois Senior Technician / Consultant As a senior tech, provided sales and support; responsibilities included providing sales quotes while supporting Novell, NT, and AppleTalk environments. Repairing, troubleshooting and upgrading desktop and laptop computers.
