MRTP ENHANCEMENTS (Matched Rate Transfer Pricing)- The principal impacts were changes in the MRTP rate calculation and sourcing processes. Banking systems which currently access and hold MRTP rates (CAMS, CASB, eBOBS) were principally be impacted via the need to store additional data feeds and pass these to the data warehouse. User screens which provide MRTP rate information also required updating to reflect that rates for assets (loans) and liabilities (Deposits) now vary - previously single MRTP rate per term was applied regardless of product. Assets are loan products. Liabilities are deposit products.

Project FORCE POPULATION Technology MAINFRAME TPF, TPFGI, SST Team Size 1 Duration 60 Days Location KANSAS CITY, USA Domain Airlines Environment Development Language Assembler, Sabretalk, TPFC
Force population is a concept when we forcefully populate the sell failure messages into the block going to a airline/ GDS for the seamless response. There are 3 types of response in Availability namely AVS, Seamless and Cache. The AVS responses are generally refreshed once a month, cache generally 30 min and seamless immediate. When the availability responses are shown from AVS side, they might not show the correct scenario and might result in sell failure. To reduce the number of sell failures, concept of force population was considered. Thereby, when we are sending a seamless message to airline source, populate the empty space in message block with the sell failures recently received. The functionality is adjoined with some enhanced functions known as POWER PRODUCTS. The power products are developed to give results with more functionalities like low price tickets and time of departure of the flight etc. It could be divided into 3 parts namely 1. Getting the sell failures 2. Inserting them into the blocks being sent. 3.Setting the same for availability, power shopper, DIR and $A entry.
Role & Responsibilities : As onsite coordinator/software Engineer Development of general utility to set the force population master/slave switches operational, Coding and Unit testing (CUT) Detailed/ Integration testing, Customer Acceptance Support
Project BIP Technology MAINFRAME- TPF, TPFGI, SST Team Size 1 Duration 30 Days Location Kansas City, USA Domain Airlines Environment Maintenance Language Assembler, TPFDF
BIP The Project is being initiated to set a bit indicator in BAS that says 'created via insignificant time change' and a corresponding bit in the PIJ. That way when the segment is cancelled, they can make intelligent billing decision. Whenever an itinerary is booked for a code sharing agreement, in Northwest Airlines Partition of the Mainframe system, sometimes there is an insignificant time change for a particular flight schedule and thus the changes are reflected in the schedule. But when the Itinerary is cancelled, there is no indicator that shows that this has been created via insignificant time change. The project was emphasized to check the code sharing flight for a particular itinerary and setting up a Bit and after en transacting, setting up another bits based on the indicator sign of the previously set bits to be sent to the billing part after ER. In technical terms role could be divided into 3 parts namely 1. Setting the indicators in the Scheduling Part for code sharing. 2. Updating Schedule, En-transact PNRs. 3. Setting indicators during en-transaction to be sent to the Billing part of ticket, so that if the ticket is cancelled, intelligent billing decisions can be made.
