ARIES is a system on the Oracle/NT platform got approved by the automation SCS., developed by Integra Software Solutions (A US based Software Group located in Chicago, USA) toward Structural Test (as opposed to traditional Functional Test) and distributed test methodology along with the Next Generation Burn-In created a challenge and an opportunity in the area of engineering data collection and storage. ARIES working group was sponsored by the Automation SCS to address this challenge. The ARIES WG went through the discovery phase in which the new requirements were understood and alternative analysis completed to meet the new business needs.


As a Database Administrator (Development & Implementation), was responsible for:
· Setup & Maintenance of all Database environments including development, system test, conversion, training & production.
· On-going Database maintenance including backups, restores, imports, exports, database changes and updates across environments.
· All technical support clarify the issues raised by development / interface & conversion team and the training coordinator.
· Performed logical dB design, sizing of tables & Indexes, modeling, normalization, and indexing, foreign key constraints.
· Tuning, Data Migration, loading with SQL Loader, created remote links, created snapshots, wrote triggers functions, stored procedures, packages in PL/SQL.

Duties

A system for the distribution centers to receive indents, collect cash, and send daily print order to the press. A lot of MIS and accounting reports are also generated. This system works similar to any reservation system. It also takes care of sending printorders to press after taking into account the orders received
