Cumbre Data Systems, Aurora, CO April 2007 -- May 2007
C# Developer

* Contract as a C# developer upgrading the code behind of an existing ASP website to ASP.NET 2.0. The new code uses a GridView to dynamically display dimension and image columns for a product line based on SQL Server 2005 database table queries.

* Changed and debugged data access code for the SQL Server 2005 database to use the Microsoft Enterprise Library Data Access Application Block. Created unit tests within NUNIT to test the new code. Performed some modifications of database tables and views using SQL Server 2005 Express.

* Researched and performed some modifications of new CSS code and ASP.NET code behind in order to recreate the display behavior of the old ASP application.

* Performed Windows Form and User Control layout task to closely resemble the controls of an existing Windows application that was being updated.

I-Behavior, Inc., Louisville, CO July 2006 -- Oct 2006
Production Operations Programmer

Wells Fargo Output Services, Greenwood Village, CO June 2005 -- Dec 2005
Programmer Analyst

* Converted existing Assembler program that emailed WORD, text and CSV reports to users through an outdated FTP server to route the same reports through a VTAM Printer Support System (VPS) printer. All WORD formatted documents were converted to PDF format via the VPS printer at same time.

* Researched, created and tested base code in Assembler for encrypting blocks of data using the cryptographic subroutines provided in the MegaCryption vendor package. The cryptographic subroutines are used inside of COBOL and Assembler application programs. Provided run time statistics for Triple DES, AES and AES2 encryption methods using the cryptographic subroutines.

* Designed, coded and tested an early warning system for when print servers have a severe backlog. A batch job executed SDSF queries and an Assembler program parsed information from the SDSF report, if the number of reports to be printed was above a certain threshold an email was sent to the appropriate personnel.

* Updated existing Assembler application system to programmatically delete an existing VSAM dataset, define a replacement VSAM dataset, and perform an IDCAMS REPRO operation inserting a dummy record allowing the new dataset to be used immediately when a DASD Unit became full. The changes performed the dynamic allocation of a PDS member and SYSIN/SYSPRINT files to retrieve, modify, and execute commands needed by IDCAMS to perform the VSAM dataset functions. This change eliminates a manual process taking two programmers roughly 2 hours a day each to accomplish.
