Full strategic planning, leadership, and decision-making authority for the organization's entire IT infrastructure strategic requirements. Built the IT infrastructure, from concept into a state-of-the-art, centralized model with distributed services in North America. Focused efforts on operational needs evaluation, risk analysis and long-term technological value. Proactively recruited, trained and developed a team of 6 direct reports and 28 indirect reports, including remote IT technicians, a centralized network and operational team. Controlled over $8.7 million capital and $17.2 million operations budgets.

• Designed, architected, budgeted, and delivered a new IT global infrastructure that provided superior performance for a new and legacy applications suite. Redesigned Windows and UNIX server farm environment, implemented global virus remediation architecture, and consolidated the Outlook email architecture from multiple disparate domains to 1 domain of 9 servers and 34 data stores. Net impact is ~$450,000/yr. of savings in support, recovery and computing costs.
• Designed, selected, purchased, architected and delivered the company's first disaster recovery datacenter in Allen, Texas. As a result, this datacenter would save the company approximately ~$20 - $30 million in business recovery capability.
• Architected and implemented the conversion of the data network from a VPN network to the latest in MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology in response to a corporate acquisition. As a result, this design facilitated a true convergence of all traffic onto one WAN cloud and is the prototype for the WAN of the future.

Recruited by the CIO to seamlessly transition three independent companies into one cohesive business unit as part of a restructuring/change initiative. Delivered the tactical plans to create the technology infrastructure to support the consolidation of IT operations for the Global Communications division. Achieved all operating, technology and financial objectives to include tripling of new revenues over the course of the first full year of operation. Responsible for a $4.8 million capital and $7.2 million expense budget and a staff of 11indirect reports.

• Led the integration of NNG into the Dynegy enterprise and transition of the entire company to MidAmerican Energy, once the pipeline was sold. The transition netted ~$400,000 of revenue to the company.
• Architected and managed the delivery of a completely new IT infrastructure enterprise in Europe. Mitigated issues around cost, timing, and architectural non-compliance. Project was delivered on time, under budget and architecturally compliant. This deliverable allowed the company to “follow the sun” with regard to trading and customer support. Was on track to save $80,000 in consulting fees and $40,000 in support fees within the first year when the company started to dismantle.

• Directed a technical staff comprised of internal and outsourced resources to embrace accountability for aggressive service levels. Re-negotiated the outsourcing contract to required service levels, simultaneously achieving much lower contract costs.
• Delivered a comprehensive and systematic renovation of the global technical infrastructure across all computing platforms. This integration was calibrated to new initiatives in Supply Chain for improved efficiencies, resulting in an estimated 20% yield efficiency on soup manufacturing and an estimated $1.1 Million in annual revenues.
• Developed a global technical architecture to replace and/or rebuild an outdated technical infrastructure and remediate Y2K for the entire company. This new architecture delivered a complementary convergence of voice, data and video for collaborative capability to provide enhanced business value and competitive advantage and saved $150,000/yr. by converging support contracts.
