• Modified all existing tables, online and batch COBOL/CICS programs in order to increment the unemployment insurance benefit from 54 to 72 days.
• Developed a manual entry system into an ONLINE application written in CICS-Web enable approach using DB2 tables and VSAM-KSDS files.
o This application was an online data entry system providing 3270 data screens accurate validation routines and a Batch interface composed of detail transaction reports, file back-ups maintenance and JCL modules.
o The transactions handled by this application were employee maintenance records, holidays, sick, on leave, holidays and worked hours in records called TALLY Records.
o Accounting transactions records were later added to the process.
o User training manuals, user system documentation and application program directives were written for this system as part of the whole endeavor.
• Expanded/modified tables in order to change the unemployment benefits from 54 to 72 days.
• Modified the code of the existing programs to agree with the new benefit changes.
• Modified reports and special forms in order to print the new benefit changes.
