PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE System Administrator - Oct. 2004 - Present EDS, Plano, TX. Providing support to Multiple Clients on Windows 2003 and Unix servers. Maintain Backup, Autosys Batch Jobs. Maintain Servers for American Airline, Nextel, Bank Of America, First Health, and so on. Day to day job to provide support and monitor daily activity on servers.
System Administrator - Dec. 2002 - Oct. 2004 EDS/Nextel Communications, Columbia, MD Provide technical support to RF engineers for Nextel Communication. Maintain Backup of servers on weekly and monthly basis by using Backup Exec application. Maintain Switches, Servers Windows 2003, Work Station Windows 2000 Professional. Provide technical support for Toshiba Laptops, Dell and HP work station, HP printers and plotters, installing and configuring different hardware and software for laptops. Such as Dual Socket cards, Agilent walk about hardware, GPS, Motorola Phones and Terms and Ericsson products. Also provide support for VPN and Wireless network connections. Perform roll outs for new application and operating system. Install and test virus protection. By using active directory, on Windows 2003 Enterprise edition server, create user account, add machine to domain, permission and maintain security. Responsible to maintain three cities for Nextel Communications, Baltimore, Columbia and Hanover. Job responsibility was not limited to technical support but also has to deal with vendors, maintain stock, and test out new application, create new images by using ghost application ver 8.
NT Administrator - Mar. 2000 - Nov. 2002 EDS/Goldman Sachs, New York, NY Performing my duties as a key team member for Goldman Sachs to support their Widows NT 4.0 base network (NT 4.0 Workstations and Servers), which was recently migrated to Windows 2000 Advance Servers and Windows 2000 professional. Install, configure, and trouble-shoot MS Outlook Exchange 5.5, SMS Server, Network Printers such as HP and Xerox. As a team member responsible for hardware installation and software application, testing, and implementation, such as Ms Office 2000 Professional, FrontPage 2000, Project 2000, HP Open View, Visio and proprietary software on the laptop, desktop, and servers on there wide area network. Install and configure handheld devices such as Palm Pilot and Blackberry. Create new users account and roaming profile in NT domain and Outlook Exchange 5.5. Provide technical support to 5000 end users, by using various diagnostic utilities such as SMS service, Telnet, Net meeting, and CMD. Provide technical support on issue of printers, applications, and Oracle database, On site as well as remotely. Responsible for creating daily report on daily base issues and log them into clarify.
