When the time is elapsed, an alert is played. The countdown timer was developed using the language BREW i.e. Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless. BREW is an application development platform created by Qualcomm for mobile phones. It was originally developed for CDMA handsets, but has since been ported to other air interfaces including GSM/GPRS, and UMTS.
