2 PROJECT COPICS and Triggers Client GE, USA My Role Team member Team Size 5 Company SCSL Duration May-2005 to March - 2007 Description of the Project TRIGGERS This application sends triggers for 3,04,000 items and 85,000 BOMS to the different applications like COPICS system and eBOM and running a BOM compare using an existing scripts. This functionality will help sync up the Items and Bill of Materials in COPICS and eBOM systems and will significantly reduce the eBOM administration effort. The Regular support activities include communicating with users and various support groups across the Globe in different time zones through Messenger and Mail.
COPICS RTS (Ready To Serve) is a Maintenance and support project. Bucket-5 is one of the pools in RTS. COPICS is one wing of the applications in bucket-5. COPICS deals with customer order maintenance from entry to delivery. It has many interfaces to external systems. Invoicing and Revenue Analysis System (IRAS) supports all the billing and revenue analysis requirements of Reuter's business. It is one of the 5 Core-Suite applications of REUTERS. The Input data comes from another Core-suite application COMPASS which gives the details such as the date from which an item is to be billed, is it a Once-off or Recurring billing, is it a third part y items which are to be billed, what are the tax rates, discount rates, unit price etc which are essential for billing.
