* Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc., (Apr 07 to Jul 07), Led the port a legacy application written in FORTRAN and C from SCO UNIX to SUN Solaris. The system provided Aircraft and Airport data analysis as a part of its function. Part of the port was to move a large number of aircraft modules written in FORTRAN, there was little to no information on most of the system, part of the task was to evaluate and document the system for future maintenance. * GW Telecom (Nov 2004 to Apr 2007), Served as CIO for a wireless Internet start-up; helped to develop and execute a business plan and pilot project in Colorado. Led and built the team that was responsible for the design of the back office, lane-line network (carrier grade Ethernet) and interfaces to resellers and enhanced 911 providers The service was to be deployed in China and the third world utilizing WIMAX and WIFI providing carrier grade service.
* Microsoft (Sep 2004 to Feb 2005), provided project management for a development team reengineering part of the MS partnership portal. This was a venture between SET on one of its business partners (Capitus Software). The development team consisted of 15 developers and encompassed everything from requirements gathering to the Website deployment in Microsoft's data center.
* Healthcare Network Solutions (Mar 2002 to Aug 2003), Served as the CTO to re-engineer the development process and oversee their first release of software/service of a healthcare plan management and monitoring system. Re-architected how the service was hosted and managed the deployment in a co-located data center in Seattle. Made extensive use of Microsoft technologies and database products. The service was a HIPPA clearing house combined with a managed care plans, aimed at adult family homes.
* Tensing Communications (Dec 2000 to Mar 2002), Worked as Sr. Director of Network Operations managed and reorganized a troubled IT department (a staff of 34, including 3 managers.) Re-organized the development and IT processes to improve overall quality and operational processes; implementing a continuous improvement process. Managed the build out of both of a Network Operation Center and Data Center. Managed the rollout of internet POP and 15 airports around the world.

Sr. Director of Data Center Operations - 2000 to 2000

* Managed the operations and support teams for Free Internet's Internal IT, two data centers and network operations center. Led projects through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle including requirements definition, testing and support implementing formal processes to ensure stability and reliability.
* Managed the build out of a new 25,000 sq ft class 5 data canter. This included management of the site selection process, equipment selection, vendor and contractor management, and site build out. Also managed the migration and consolidation of the Free Internet's two initial Data Center to the new 25000 sq ft data center, all managed while un-interrupting the current service.
* Managed the redesign the IP network infrastructure to reduce the cost of the under utilized IP network links saving the company over 8 millions of dollars a year.
* The position ended when the company failed and laid-off the staff.

Director of Network Technologies (contract assignment) - 1998 to 2000

* Severed as the chief subject matter expert on ATM, IP, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, Cable (DOCSIS/ Packet Cable/ Open Cable), Fiber, and VoIP Technologies for CH2M Hill's Telecommunications Division. Clients included Global Crossing, French Telecom, Media One, TCI, Time Warner, and Callahan and Associates.
* Trained and coordinated teams to handle telecommunication projects in a 12,000 strong engineering company. Managed client budgets as large as $65M and teams as large as 100 direct and indirect project team members.
* Provided technical direction to clients worldwide for the design, development and build out of broadband networks. Supporting CH2M Hills Sales force on the preparation of materials and bids for clients around the world.
* Developed TCP/IP network architectures, project plans and cost models for the deployment of voice and data services in Argentina and Germany. One of the networks was designed to support over 10 million subscribers.
* Led the development team that implemented of a PDA based solution for cable technicians working in the field. The system was based on Window's CE palmtops and interfaced with AutoCAD and Small-world GIS systems.

* Management Consulting Projects
* Great West Life (Mar 97 to Jul 97), Developed a plan and RFP for the consolidation from thirty-three call centers to six new regional call centers. The call centers where designed to meet existing call volumes and allow of outsourcing and remote options. Helped to author the RFP and selection criteria; then assisted in the evaluate vendor responses.
* Time Warner Cable (Sep 94 to Dec 96), Helped to architect the first commercial cable broadband system (TWC's Roadrunner;) responsible for the network architecture, security, operations support systems, billing interfaces, and third party content providers. Provided technical project management for one of the two systems integrators TWC used to build Roadrunner systems. Managed the build-out of Road Runner for TWC's San Diego Head-ends and Distribution Centers, with equipment from Toshiba.
* Philips Electronics, (Jun 92 to Jun 94), Led a development team (of 12 software engineers,) on a system to delivery medical information to doctors, (Medical News Network II). The team responsible for the development of the medical building communication server, one of three component used in the Mednet II service.
