Senior Analyst
Responsible for monitoring Mainframe and Network functions in the ECON (Exelon Computer and Network) Center. Daily work included monitoring of the mainframe systems using SCON (system console); Network monitoring using Spectrum, Microwave and Tetragenics tools to view alarms and take appropriate action for any defined network device; and maintaining material condition of the building.
* Handled day to day client requests which required prompt turnaround. Requests included but were not limited to starting and stopping tasks using System State Manager, trigger test and production jobs controlled by ESP/JSS (Job scheduling system), and restart of failed test or production jobs.
* Assessed on a daily basis Production Change requests against business risks and compliance with Production Control processes. Issued either a Go or NoGo based on correctness of the change and the current status of the environment.

* Implemented new Management Model procedures for the ECON Center work which was added to the System Notebooks. Documents written were:

* Job Scheduling Systems procedure
* How to change the Sysplex Timer (system clock changed at time change)
* How to use Omegaview (monitored all mainframe systems on one screen)
* Compilation of VSM and Silo commands in one single document.

* Managed material condition of all work areas by performing a walk down of the entire building and reporting out to the appropriate vendors / management any anomalies found.

* Created master inventory list of all monitored equipment which included device number, location, serial number, type of equipment, and Vendor contact information. When there were equipment problems this was used as a single reference for calling out problems.

Worked as part of a five person team in support of a conversion project from Legacy to SAP using MQSeries as the primary transmission vehicle. Wrote interface and conversion programs including creation of test and production JCL, creation of test cycles, testing the programs and JCL , creation of documentation and packaging up all the elements via Endeavor for installation into production. All work was done remotely.

Worked as part of a support team which provided both application and production support 24 x 7 for the Accounts Reconcilement legacy mainframe application with approximately 150 clients. Also handled day to day client requests which required same day turnaround, including customers requiring setup and testing of new Auto Acknowledgements, NDM Transmission requests and Reversals (back out of incorrect information). The processing of these requests involved knowledge of JCL, Lotus Notes, NDM, TSO, and utilities.
