Cost Reduction
•Recommended modification to SCT Banner Student SIS to produce state assessment on EDI transcripts. Eliminated need to send corresponding paper transcripts to Trading Partners to show state assessment.
•Advised Academic Services to adopt Texas Common Application (TCA) for Admissions and Scholarships applications. Reduced application production time by 90% as well as need for application updates.
•Provided specs for oracle views used in ASP.NET web applications. Minimized turnaround time for receiving views from Programming Team.


Process Improvement
•Facilitated meetings with cross functional teams of staff members from two local Higher Education Institutions to improve student services through EDI academic document exchange. Led to better services for students.
•Researched and presented alternatives to prepare academic departments to use a major modification to SIS. Eased end user fears, promoted ideas for new process flows.
•Identified options to restructure the University's academic business processes to incorporate EDI exchange of academic documents. Reduced academic record processing time by 30%.


Requirements/Specifications
•Drafted requirements and functional specifications for online Check Status tools (ASP.NET) for UTEP and EPCC students or those concurrently enrolled, to be accessible from the UTEP/EPCC Transfer Website.
•Worked with a diverse team at UTEP and SunGard SCT to define requirements to add a new module to our Student Information System (SIS), later severed as Subject Matter Expert regarding for the implementation.
•Utilized vendor user guides pull specifications for new SunGard SCT Banner forms, tables, and institutional reporting processes as part of new modification to SIS. Uploaded department specific to a project folder.
