A member of Alabama Power Company's award-winning Public Relations team. Responsible for proposing, implementing and managing web communication strategies (intranet/extranet). Responsibilities include researching new and emerging web technologies, proposing web strategies, developing websites, hiring contracted web designers/developers to assist with overflow projects, and overall project management duties.

Served on Southern Company's prestigious Internet Governance Committee. The committee is responsible for determining standards and best practices for internet/intranet site development. As a member, I led an exploratory effort to determine feasibility and technical requirements for implementing Web 2.0 business solutions into overall corporate communications strategy. Recognized among peers as resident RSS expert in terms of development and practical business uses.

Proudest Accomplishment: In 2006, after only six months with the company, I was recognized at an executive business conference by the President/CEO for building a customized web conferencing solution which saved the company over $80K.
