Data Warehousing & Mining - 8 years of developing ShowCase Essbase databases and data mining applications for Robert Mondavi Wineries, Catelus Development Corp and Crystal Geyser Water Company. Also developed MS SQL Server databases using MS Analysis Services at Crystal Geyser Water during the last 2 years.

Recent Career Experience:
Information Systems Director for Crystal Geyser Water Company, Calistoga, CA, a nationally known bottler of spring, mineral water and juices. October 2001 to present. Provide administrative and technical leadership in support of company's financial, distribution, purchasing and manufacturing needs.
- Implemented ERP (VAI System 2000). Designed and monitored all setup and data migration.
- Implemented data warehousing and reporting using MS SQL Server, MS Analysis Services, Crystal Reports and MS SharePoint.
- Implemented IBM's DProp as Data Recovery and Data Propagation tool.
- Redesigned network infrastructure. Migrated from MS Exchange 5.5 to CommuniGate Pro running on Linux.
- Designed and implemented an MPLS virtual LAN joining 5 offices and wireless point-to-point connection for two warehouses.
- Implemented an in-house VOIP communications solution joining all offices into one phone network with VOIP-to-copper access to POTS lines, saving about 32% a year in communications costs.
- Currently administer a $2 million budget, servicing 100+ users in 7 locations, including 35+ in-field personnel.
Contractor/Consultant for Preuss Consulting, Inc. December 1999 to 2001.
- SDL, Inc, Santa Clara, CA -- Project Manager -- SDL, Inc., now part of Uniphase, was the leader in solid-state laser technology. January thru June 2001. Proof of concept implementation of JDEdwards' MRP system for a select group of products, involving intensive interaction with the business' supply chain user community.
- Cost Plus, Oakland, CA -- Systems Programmer -- Cost Plus is one of the oldest imported gift and household retailers in the country. August thru January 2001. Analyzed DASD requirements for data warehousing and performed AS/400 performance tuning and system programming functions for their Lawson implementation. Also implemented data mirroring and data replication tasks using the Vision suite of products (OMS/400, ODS/400 and SAM/400).
- Kaufman & Broad, San Antonio, TX. -- J.D.Edwards Project Manager -- K&B is one of the nation's largest homebuilders. June to August 2000. Led 8-person project to consolidate divisional data centers, analyze business requirements and convert custom divisional data into simplified corporate JDEdwards environment. Completed project 8/4, on time and under budget.
- Kaufman & Broad, Los Angeles, CA. -- J.D.Edwards Project Manager -- February to June 2000. Led business requirements analysis project to prepare for the consolidation of divisional financial data. Completed project 6/1, on time and under budget. Evaluated and implemented JDE OneWorld Sales Order system in a coexistence environment.
Information Systems Director for The Robert Mondavi Corporation, a premier wine producer. October 1998 to December 1999. Provide analytical, technical and administrative leadership. Responsible for application development, budgeting, security, systems-capacity and staffing issues for the midrange portion of the IS Department, (8 staff programmers, contractors and operators.)
- Led MRP/DRP implementation for Woodbridge and Oakville plants.
- Created Data Warehouse & Mining applications using ShowCase Essbase and Crystal Reports.
Information Systems Manager for Catellus Development Corp., a San Francisco-based real estate development company. July 1997 to October 1998. Responsible for the administration and enhancement of JDEdwards' financial and property management suites, as well as budgeting, security, systems-capacity and staffing issues for the AS/400 portion of the IS Department, (6 staff programmers and contractors.)
- Developed IS strategy to enable secure browser-based intranet access to corporate financial and business data on the AS/400 using Crystal Reports.
- Led Disaster Recovery implementation team.
- Replaced poorly integrated MS-SNA Servers with TCP/IP-connected clients.
- Replaced ad hoc report writing with ShowCase Essbase tools.
