October 2005 - Bank of America, Charlotte, North Carolina March 2006 Contract Programmer, convert database table structure from existing two table format Into five table partitioned format, with master split on type of loan issuance with detail transactions split accordingly and partitioned on year-month activity tables. Design, plan, and implement Project Master Plan, High Level Definition Documents, Low Level Definition Documents, Systems Integration Testing, and Systems Implementation Plans. Wrote programs in Perl, Cobol, Korn shell, and Sql as well as prepared all Database Definitions. After sign-off approval from User Acceptance Team performed implementation iaw SIP to build new tables from existing tables, recapture historical data, and verify database integrity. Cross platform development for multi-threaded applications via c++ and Java. April, 2002 - Lowes Companies, Inc, Wilkesboro, North Carolina January 2003 Contract programmer, develop and maintain existing body of C++ programs for capturing data via bar code scanner, displaying screen information unto hand-held devices, and recording captured information into proper database tables. Design and implement changes to logistics modules to better interface with database and provide for more timely reporting of logistics scheduling of distribution center fulfillments. Design and implement distribution of break packaged materials unto multiple bays, their retention in memory via linked lists until write down upon verification unto the database. Systems were AIX Risc 6000 and SUN Solaris.
August 2001 - Fleet Bank, Providence, Rhode Island February 2002 Contract Unix Systems Manager, conversion of systems from Vax/Vms unto IBM AIX Risc 6000 systems. Leader responsible for setting up Korn Shell scripting standards for all batch processes, setting up NDM scripts ( JCL and Korn ) for broadcasting of files from MVS host unto AIX, setting up Tivoli OPC production control of AIX via Tracker from MVS host. Leader to finish Perl programs to read files laid down unto AIX via NDM broadcasts, reformat them to COBOL fixed block standards, rename them with date and time signatures, and move them into application areas. Developed suite of C, Perl, and scripts to incorporate a Vax/Vms flavored submit process as an interface to FOCUS, allowing users to submit jobs to named queues of their choice, and later running them as such. Developed makefile for resolving all dependences for suite of 200 COBOL and C programs and re-compiling them, one to one, an as full build. Planned, coded, and implemented project to handle all printers via threaded procedures in C++ for Unix, code printer microprocessor (intel pentium) to recognize new label formats, rewrote older c and c++ application into Java to handle operator control of print queues and machines across pc - Unix platforms. Developed numerous Perl and Korn Shell scripts to handle database queries, capture results into files, reformat result files to various requirements and ship them out via NDM Connect:Direct and Secure FTP. Moderate Cobol programming via MicroFocus.
