Reservation Station Design:
* Designed and synthesized a Reservation Station (an Instruction Scheduler in modern Superscalar processor architecture) with Verilog. Reservation Station

has 4 entries (each of 83 bits), 2 parallel write back buses, 3 logic blocks (dispatch, wait and issue)
* During each clock period the processor dispatches 1 instruction to a vacant location in the reservation station.
* 2 parallel write back buses are used to store the results of the two execution units into the reservation station during each clock period.
* When all the reservation station entries are valid at the same time, a special prioritizing scheme is used to determine the longest waiting instruction in

the reservation station to be issued.
* Custom designed the entire project with Cadence Tools. Placed in the 40-pin pad frame and simulated.
Tools Used: AMI 0.6 micron, Cadence Ambit Logic Synthesizer/Virtuoso/Silicon Ensemble, Irsim and Verilog
