Experience:

Engineer, L'Oréal USA Research & Development, December 2005 -- present
• Design and administer novel claims and pilot clinical studies, from project planning through data analysis and final report. Experienced with precision color and light measurements of the skin as well as measurement of biomechanical properties, biophysical properties and surface conditions of the skin.
• Develop research methods; validate methods and equipment. Write accurate and comprehensive testing protocols.
• Research and evaluate new instruments and technologies for use in testing skincare products. Attend industry meetings and conferences, maintain contacts with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contract facilities to facilitate the exchange of technologies and ideas.
• Travel to clinical sites in order to monitor the clinical site and train the clinical site staff on use of proprietary equipment.
• Work with research teams in France to globalize measurement techniques, testing equipment, protocols for claims testing and "aid-to-formulation" in an effort to reduce redundant studies and increase global product positioning.

• Prepared and analyzed biological samples in an FDA regulated, GLP environment using LC/MS/MS analysis. Generated final study reports and results packages for clients. Responsible for troubleshooting, set-up and routine maintenance of LC/MS/MS systems (Sciex API-3000 and API 4000).
• Developed and validated new in-house procedures within GLP and in-house SOP guidelines; authored validation reports for release to clients.
• Created and implemented an in-house tracking and filing system for test articles to streamline systems and minimize errors.
• Created in-house user guidance documentation for Analyst 1.2 software package during phase II validation.
Biomedical Senior Design, Rutgers Biomedical Engineering Dept., September 2002 -- May 2003
• Worked in a joint effort with the mechanical engineering department to create a new rehabilitation assistance device for patients with paraplegia. Designed a user interface using LabVIEW.
• Designed and built a control console to allow for the interface between the device and a standard PC. Developed control circuitry and software to perform testing of the device.

Engineering Consultantant , Nian-Crae, Inc., June 2002 -- May 2003
• Worked to develop a new control system for Flow Cytometry using LabVIEW. Designed and implemented a graphical user interface for the flow cytometer sample delivery system. Re-designed and built the automated sample delivery system, performed functional changes in the LabVIEW program desired by the users.

• Assisted the manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and supervising staff members. Also served as Internet Marketing Director. Worked with the internet design and marketing team to update computers and enhance the hotel's image. Responsible for getting the hotel listed on major search engines and reservation networks.
