Project ACES COMMISSION SYSTEM

Description The “ACES” project team developed a new Agency Commission Enterprise System that replaced the legacy Agency/Commission system. The Software selected for the new system is Centive systems.
The project team included department users, SAI IT, and the Vendor.
Agency/Commission processing pays agent commissions based on policy activity from Navisys and Vantage Policies.
Centive provides the basic structure for calculating commissions and tracking the production of an agent.
Centive provides online access to Agent production totals, commission history, agent hierarchy, commission payment history, and other agent data. Centive also allows the users to adjust commission history using the MJE process or History update process. The batch process produces commission statements, commission payments, feeds to SAP, feeds to NSCC, and other outside companies using input from Navisys, Vantage, Manual Journal Entries, and Commission History Updates.
Commissions are paid: when dollars are deposited to a policy and over time as the policy ages using the policy value (trails). The trigger for paying a commission is a commissionable event from Vantage or Navisys. There are many types of commissionable events that will be detailed later in the overview. Most of the rules to determine the commissionable amount (the dollars to pay commission on) are known at the policy level and must be applied prior to sending the commissionable event to the commission system. All commissionable events are fed to Centive using a common format initially designed by the Navisys team (INT70). Rules that affect the commission are passed from Navisys or Vantage using fields in INT70.
