Member of a team of 5 engineers supporting the UNIX environment for the Smith's Food & Drug Account. Responsible for administration of approx. 200 mission critical UNIX processors networked across the Western United States in a client server environment. Provided 24x7 support for all systems supporting the store environment including in-store processors, data base, applications, point of sale and network. This team was the last line of defense for any or all issues. Developed C code and UNIX scripts to automate most functions associated with the store environment. Maintained a sophisticated lab and test environment to ensure that the latest technologies and business objectives were developed to support Smith's vision. Personally responsible for the construction and rollout of all computer equipment for the acquisition and startup of 28 new grocery stores in Phoenix. Arizona.
