PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
The Consulting Group, Inc. Aramark Corporation, Philadelphia, PA - May 2006 -- June 2007 - Infor Consultant • Interviewed business users for many change requests to leverage the expanded amount fields during the upgrade of a mainframe payroll system. Documented requirements and design documentation and provided estimates for the changes and submitted them to the change request team. Circled back with other developers when they were assigned one of my requirements/design documents to review. o To reduce the time and cost of manual child support payments, I read the upgrade documentation and assisted the client with setting up automated EFT child support payments and applied some custom code changes to accommodate special account data to match tested with Wachovia Bank. Worked closely with Wachovia to resolve data file format issues. o Responsible defining and running all test FTP's for internal and external systems and where they should be sent. Resolved issues of missing interfaces to see if a job had not been run, or if the FTP failed or if it needed to be setup in FileMover.
ABN AMRO Services Company, Chicago, IL (full-time employee) - June 2000 -- April 2006 -- Requirements Analyst. Consulted from June 2000 -- December 2000 and then hired on as a full-time employee. • Gathered requirements for enhancements to the InvoiceXpress system to further automate the workflow for approvals and the A/P system. Additional functionality included the use of Blackberry for approvals to reduce the turn around time from submission to approval.
• Participated in the CMM for requirements training and pilot to achieve level 2 for the company. • Gathered and documented the requirements necessary to do a proof of concept (POC) on vendor software selected to electronically track marketing ads in an effort to increase customer satisfaction. The application would track a customer response and never offer that ad again when the customer declined. Defined specific requirements needed to prove the vendor software worked from all venues, the ATM system, the automated touchtone phone banking (IVR) and Online banking within the expected response times. Worked closely with development and test team of all areas to verify the scenarios could in fact be tested.
• Elicited requirements for a new application for a global team that would track instant messages (IM's) for traders in an effort to meet SEC regulations and audit standards. o Defined each areas different messaging uses such as Lotus Notes, AOL and Yahoo. o Met with the auditing team to define which IM data to needed to be retained and which key words where needed for scanning per the regulations. o Worked closely with the over sea's group in London to gather their trader's methods of entry and requisite data retrieval queries.
• Elicited requirements for the new Niku Clarity system which was replacing Oracle Projects, TrackView and ProjectView within the PMO and a custom coded Resource Utilization and Planning and Project Demand applications. Implementing the new software would increase the amount of real-time costs to the project managers in an effort to reduce the number of projects that were over budget. This was a multiphase project that led to the successful integration of project, demand and resources to enable IT to forecast to meet the business unit needs. o Reviewed requirements with a very large group of stakeholders to gain acceptance and consensus. o Created business flow diagrams to clearly illustrate where each piece of project creation passed off to another application and defined security roles for each user. o Became a key point of contact for questions from business owners, developers and testers. Therefore, I was named the Gatekeeper role for changes and defects utilizing TestDirector for the change control process, identifying if an item was a development defect or a vendor problem, or not a problem at all. o Successfully defined global system availability requirements for our SLA and expected response time ranges needed to accommodate US, European and off-shore teams. o Served on the pilot team to test the accurateness and performance levels and assisted in the production roll-out for a successful implementation.
• Worked with the vendor, Business Continuity team and developers to capture requirements to support Business Continuity Planning system and disaster recovery. This project would enable the business units to maintain their own call list hierarchy for notifications in the event of a disaster while being fully compliant with respect to minimum down-time service levels. o Defined the interface requirements necessary from our PeopleSoft's HRMS application to the external vendors' database and the method and frequency of the interface.
• Documented requirements for the Oracle upgrade of the PeopleClick CAAMS EEO software in an effort to meet IT standards to eliminate desktop deployments of the software. The new version allowed the software to be accessed through a Citrix server which would meet new IT standards. o Worked very closely with the Diversity team to identify database errors and resolve them with developer and the vendor.
• Gathered requirements to upgrade the Kronos Time and Attendance system (Workforce Central) from a client server to a web-based application with three methods of time entry; Time Clocks, Web and Teletime IVR. The current versions licensing had expired and implementing the newest version would reduce vendor support costs. o Worked closely with developers to define time calculations for regular overtime and special overtime pays to replace outdated and hard to maintain sections of code. o Defined requirements to automate the daily imports from PeopleSoft in to the Kronos system to eliminate manual work. o Worked with Kronos administrators to define the different security groups needed for different roles and assisted them with questions regarding their new functionality. o Reviewed requirements and answered questions from off-shore testing groups to test key functionality changes with the upgrade. o Worked closely with the vendor review work rules so they could use Kronos Connect to easily maintain work rules for different types of exempt and non-exempt employees. o Met with the internal training team to review functional changes for their preparation of web-based training for regular employees and managers approving timesheets.
The Consulting Group, Inc -- July 1998 -- May 2000 at Walt Disney World, Chicago Tribune and Weyerhaeuser • Performed analysis to gather information on what was needed in order to merge companies from another HR system onto ours. Created analysis and design documentation format that would be used on future projects in order to standardize our team. Distributed design documents to two other developers that were to assist me and documented standards for copybooks that were to be followed by our developers. • Successfully lead a small team to convert a PC-based garnishment system to our HR system which interfaced with the GEAC A/P system in the new EDI format. Created design documentation and estimates for the system migration, including six new screens for new external VSAM files. Created standardized file layouts and batch transactions and coordinated with the Year 2000 team on design. Unit tested on-line and batch changes, coordinated scheduling in CA7 and prepared JCL for production installation. Prepared schedule flows in Visio.
Modis International, Orlando, FL (full-time employee) -- May 1997 -- July 1998 @ Walt Disney World • Worked on a team of three to systems test the Millennium and Year 2000 upgrade to GEAC, GL:M and Millennium. Responsible for scheduling and monitoring jobs, coordinating report requirements, documenting and resolving system problems, and coordinating the implementation, while familiarizing myself with the General Ledger system. • Led a small team to convert a United Way Huron system to an IBM mainframe system in order to eliminate the out-dated Huron system. Trained the Huron developer in creating Geac online screens and standard batch extraction processes. Created four new screens, batch reports and coordinated with the scanner programmer to create batch transactions for contribution cards being scanned automatically.
Software Resource, Inc, Longwood FL AT & T Inc., Maitland, FL - March 1997 -- May 1997 -- Systems Test Consultant • Worked on the Systems Test Team for AT&T's primary Billing service for high-end commercial customers, specifically on the system with the highest priority and where the most enhancements occur. Created release test plan and test cases using Microsoft Excel and Word. Verified IMS On-line changes and IMS/DB2 Batch functions and reporting of testing status, including creating trouble reports using an automated Microsoft Access tracking system.
Modis International (full-time employee) -- January 1995 -- February 1997 -- Project Lead @ AT&T • Performed analysis and development (new and maintenance) for a user designed COBOL payroll tax system. Accountable for analysis, time and cost estimates, scheduling releases and moving changes into the production environment. Coded one time jobs using Easytrieve Plus. COBOL program development performed on the PC utilizing Micro Focus Workbench. Performed upgrade to COBOL II.
Keane, Inc., Orlando, FL (full-time employee) - February 1991 -- December 1994 @ Walt Disney, Kirchman, AT&T • Served on a small team to maintain DBS HR:M system. Completed the design, coding and testing of a major structural change in the General Ledger Interface and Reporting from Payroll. • As a programmer/analyst, I maintained the custom coded Payroll Tax System. Accountable for analysis, time and cost estimations, and notifying user and systems groups of changes. Maintained tax programs in accordance with government standards via notification from AllTax. All program development performed on the PC utilizing the Micro Focus Workbench product. o Established a manual of naming conventions and development standards for tax programs, PROC's and JCL since nothing had been documented. • Worked on enhancements to CICS On-line banking software targeted for the international market. Applied necessary changes to batch software for conversion from COBOL to COBOL II for VSAM driven applications. Maintained Demand Deposit, ATM transaction processing and central system batch software.
Darden Restaurants, Orlando, FL (full-time employee) - March 1990 -- February 1991 - Programmer Analyst • Worked on the systems development team to upgrade Dunn & Bradstreet's Human Resource software and to provide a main point of contact for the developers and the vendor. Project work covered design, coding and testing of over five hundred in-house modules, as well as modifications to many D&B routines. Made modifications and created new Easytrieve Plus production jobs. Tested and installed tax tape updates to HR:M software to meet vendor compliance. Provided on-call support throughout testing phases and made a transition to the support group to handle on-call for all systems, including A/P, A/R, G/L and Inventory.
Scotty's Inc., Winter Haven FL (full-time employee) - June 1987 -- March 1990 -- Senior Programmer/Analyst • Responsibilities included installation of a new payroll system (M&D). Converted from Unisys to IBM mainframe and DMS database in-house system to the vendor HR system. Performed analysis, design specifications, programming effort estimates, COBOL programming of custom code and UCR's (user called routines) to access VSAM master files to meet client needs. Wrote, tested and maintained production procs and JCL. Aggressively worked independently, as well as in a team environment. • As a MAPPER programmer, responsibilities included analysis, design, coding, testing and documenting batch and on-line programs for G/L, accounts receivable, personnel, benefit plans and payroll. Worked extensively with users ranging from clerks to senior management. Instructed classes for corporate users.
