WORK EXPERIENCE:
•September 1998 - present: Northgate HR

2001 - Present SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
•Part of a small group that is responsible for maintaining and developing web-based and client/server products for the Software Services division.
•Responsible for the source code control systems - this is a mixture of Visual SourceSafe, CVS and CA Harvest.
• Individually created scripts to build the PROIV product set - implemented using Ant and several custom tasks. Still responsible for maintaing and enhancing the scripts.
•Analysed, designed and implemented installation requirements for the PROIV product set.
•Developed several in-house web applications, utilising Java, JavaScript, XML, XSL and SQL. IDE of choice for Java development was Eclipse.
•Worked in a small team that developed a Java Lexicon server for the PROIV product. Discussed and redesigned a given specification, and implemented by pair-programming.
•Used numerous application servers to perform product tests, these include: Tomcat 3/4/5, Jetty, JRun, JBoss, WebSphere and WebLogic.

2000 - 2001 JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER
•Part of a group developing Java development tools and application servers.
•Implemented numerous self-contained projects both individually and as part of small teams.
•Projects included JDBC interface, installation, licensing, and remote server monitoring and management interface.

1999 - 2000 ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE ENGINEER
•Transferred to UK-based Research and Development group of US 4GL tools vendor building web-enabling technologies for core product set.
•Solutions included: Java Application Server, Java Thin Client, and Java Software Bus.

1998 - 1999 GRADUATE SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
•Part of UK solution group selling applications to the financial and automotive industry.
•Graduate training was on 4GL technologies.
