Quickly brought development cost under control through reorganization and laid the foundation for a successful product launch. The product is currently used by the largest organizations in the US and has been established as the future, next generation product of a very profitable product line for BNA.

Effective managment and expansion of Product Delivery operations has turned the company around from a severely declining $16M per year business to a growing $26M business today, while maintaining the highest profit contributions to the BNA Corporation.

Responsible for multi-million dollar development budget producing the # 1 selling Income Tax Planner, category leading applications in Estate Tax Planning, Fixed Asset Management and Corporate Tax Audit.

Responsible for the design and management of a multi-million dollar development, maintenance and licensing deal with the IRS.

Responsible for integration development engagements with partners such as Thompson Publishing Group / RIA, Deloitte and Touche and PeopleSoft.

Responsible for the re-organization, restructuring and staffing of the Product Delivery Division. Departments include Software Engineering, Network Services, Portal Engineering, Program Management, Quality Assurance, and User Education.

Responsible for the vendor negotiations and business case justifying an unprecedented expenditure to overhaul hardware at our IBM Hosting Center.

As part of the strategic planning process at Best prepared and presented the annual Corporate Technology Plan to the Board of Directors and the company.

Planned, managed and executed the successful introduction of all major product lines and successfully designed, managed and implemented the transition of the Corporate Technology platform from DOS to Windows to the Internet.

Provided principal technology and management support for the internationalization of the Best product line.

Directed the efforts of large and small teams of analysts, programmers, technical experts, and support staff together in the development and integration of enterprise-scale applications using a wide variety of development tools on numerous technical platforms.

Championed, implemented and managed the Corporate Technology Strategy responsible for industry leading products which have rapidly grown Best Software from a small start-up in 1983 into a publicly traded (NASDAQ:BEST), international company with offices in Canada and Europe. Best is recognized as one of the industry's top 50 software companies.

Best was purchased in 2000 for approximately $500 million with a customer base of over 50,000.
