Implementation of Oracle 9i RAC on 2 Node Cluster:
* Expertise in installing different versions of Oracle on Linux, Solaris
* Upgradation of database from 9.2.0.1.0 to 10.2.0.1.0
* Creating primary database storage structures (table spaces) after application developers have designed an application
* Perform database tuning using Explain Plan, utlbstat / utlestat, and TKPROF and init.ora parameters

* Created required groups, user, home directory, changed the ownership and permissions to oracle user. Setting of Semaphores & shared memory segments.
* Configured trust relationship between the nodes by creating .rhosts file in oracle user home directory on both nodes & verified the same using rlogin, rsh etc.
* Created two RAW Partitions each for voting and SRVM config respectively using fdisk utility. Binded these raw partitions to a raw file using 'raw' command in / etc / sysconfig / rawdevices file.
* Created symbolic links to access these Raw Partitions from the Oracle Database
* Installed Oracle Cluster Manager(oracm) & RDBMS Software on both nodes from the stage / dump area
