April 2003 - Present:
Department of Health and Hospitals office of Public Health, Information Technology Technician 3 administering and supporting 100+ Novell servers statewide and a 100+ Windows 2000 - 2003/Linux server farm. Supervising help desk operations training and scheduling help desk personnel tasks. Coordinating and participating in rollout of servers and workstations statewide. Coordinated emergency logistical support during and following hurricane Katrina providing local information and equipment to the Office of Public Health Emergency Operations Center, IT personnel and management operating out of town.



October 2002 - April 2003:
Innovative Emergency Management. Security Manager providing and obtaining security clearances for office personnel in multiple offices nation wide. Provided office support.

September 2001 - October 2002:
Snelling Personnel Services Contracted to DynTec Inc. as a Systems Consultant for the Louisiana Department of Social Services. Administer, maintain integrity, document, perform backups/restorations, repair and verification of over 300 Novell NetWare 5.1 and 6 network servers both Dell and Compaq on a network consisting of 3000+ users statewide. Performed maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of network hardware in numerous locations statewide, maintained anti-virus software, order parts and repair equipment.

February 1999 - September 2001:
Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere & Denegree LLP Baton Rouge Office. LAN/WAN Systems Engineer for Baton Rouge location. Installed, configured and administered Netware 4.11, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 Server network consisting of 11 servers, Cisco Switches and Routers utilizing GroupWise E-mail then migrating to Microsoft Exchange. Administered, maintained, performed backup and documentation. Installed, configured and maintained Windows 95 - 2000 workstation hardware and software. Coordinated rollout and setup of new workstations, updates and patches. Setup and maintained video conference equipment. Provided end user support and training on numerous applications including WordPerfect, Word and Outlook as well as providing training for all LAN/WAN based applications. Worked independently as a contractor building and repairing computers for clients and attorneys as well as installing and maintaining small home/business networks.

October 1978 - January 1999:

Instructor for Aviation Electronics Suite aboard H60B Anti Submarine Helicopters, Connector repair, Quality Assurance Inspector, Repaired/Calibrated Communication, Navigation and Test equipment, Micro/Miniature repair. Responsible for junior technicians, work priority, training and evaluations.

Maintained Department of Defense Secret Clearance throughout my Navy tenure.
