Claims Workflow System (CWS) - A distributed Benefit Claims Imaging Management System consisting of 30 programs, written in VB, which manages claims processing and claims image storage on a FileNet Optical Storage and Retrieval (OSAR) system.
Outstanding Checks (OSC) -- Overpayments (OPT) - A Web-based Benefit Claims management application, utilizing DHTML, DOM, JS, CSS, ASP, VBScript and IIS, to manage data in an Oracle DB.
Monthly Accuracy Reporting Service (MARS) - A Benefit Claims audit application, written in MS DTS, which audits data in Oracle DB.
Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) - A Benefit Claims management application, written in MS DTS, which manages data in Oracle DB.
Late Claims Interest (LCI) - A Benefit Claims audit application consisting of 187 SQL queries and 20 reports spread across multiple MS Access DBs and accessing data in an AIX DB and an Oracle DB.
CCMS Letters -- An application, written in VB, that generates the Admission & Referral Letters for the Customer Care Management System (CCMS). o Increase the Mean-Time-Between-Failure (MTFB) from 2 days to a MTFB of more than 3 months. o Increased system throughput from approximately 3,000 letters/day to about 14,000 letters/day. o Increased system accuracy and reliability by check pointing the letters before printing and by adding MSMQ to handle program messaging and triggering. o Increased flexibility by adding the ability to generate letters for multiple companies concurrently.
Customer Care System (CCS) - A GUI interface, written in Delphi 5, to the IBM mainframe. o Prepared for upgrade by replacing 475 3rd party controls with equivalent or similar Delphi 5 controls. o Removed over 25 dead forms, tabs and frames and more than 15,000 lines of dead code.
Imaging System -- A distributed Benefit Claims Image management system, written in VB, that consisted of 25 programs used to manage Benefit Claims image processing and claims image storage (on a FileNet Optical Storage and Retrieval (OSAR) system). Its successor is the CWS. o For the last 18 months of the application's life, solely responsible for enhancements and daily support. o Enhanced system reliability by instituting, and managing, source code version control using VSS, internal rollout documents for each new program version and by making the system Y2K compliant. o Decreased problem resolution times by adding error logging and error reporting (including e-mail).
