* Served as a mentor, instructor, team builder, and teacher.

Computer Capacity and Performance Management
* Consistently met Service Level Agreements at or below budgeted costs for Enterprise wide capacity resource management for distributed applications running on systems encompassing individual clients that are x86 (Intel/AMD) based through mainframe class machines.
* Designed, developed and implemented a Distributed Systems Performance and Capacity Planning infrastructure to service 12 Mainframes, 420 iSeries, 50+ LINUX, 550 UNIX, and 3200+ Windows Servers.
* Was the keynote speaker for BMC Software's International Users Group meeting at the CMG Conference in 2003.

Software Engineering
* Determined porting criteria between cross sections of computer platforms (Alliant, Cray, HP, IBM, Sun, and INTEL based systems).
* Developed standards and worked on standards committees for all aspects of Software Engineering within an organization as well as on industry standards committees (e.g., IEEE Standards Committee).
* Produced deliverables such as: Project Plans, Project Schedules, and Budgets, Business Plans, Business Requirement Documents, Logical Data Models (LDM), Physical Data Models (PDM), Interface Design Specifications (IDS), Application Development Documentation, Application Design Documentation, Operations Guides and End User Guides.
* Conducted sessions using JAD (Joint user and developer Application Development coordination) and RAD (Rapid Application Development) techniques.
* Performed reverse engineering for a relational database system to provide functionality and make the system maintainable. Provided application development documentation and developed an end users guide. Completed the project in half the time, below budgeted cost and exceeded the customer's documentation expectations.
* Performed reverse engineering on 20-year-old code to bring up to current standards for enhancing, porting and maintaining.
* Developed product enhancement and design plans with release schedules delivering product on time and below budgeted cost.
* Worked with a group of users to establish business requirements for a help desk center utilizing JAD techniques. Produced a LDM that represented expressed business needs.
* Analyzed system needs and investigated data sources to satisfy those needs. Established quality plans, test plans, and integration plans.

* Developed a standardized Header and Trailer in the modular code elements that enabled automating the generation of the various military documentation requirements (including MIL-STD-2167) which improved relationships between departments and reduced overhead costs.

Hardware Design
* Responsible for all aspects of the design (from the proposal through field implementation) on the MILSTAR program [Ring Laser Gyrocompass (RLG) platform navigation and alignment system]; managed eight engineers; the developed firmware was in Jovial and 1750A ASM (>200,000 LOC). The RLG was delivered early and within budget. Complete documentation was delivered early (with hardware) and within budget.
* Designed electronics and software for automated test systems. These systems are micro-processor or computer controlled. The software was developed in ASM and Pascal.
