Collaborated with sales team to respond to customer requests for proposals and bids. * Enabled South Texas Sales Team to exceed quota for the last two years. * Developed and delivered Network Analysis Seminar to introduce customers to Agilent's new line of network analyzers. Resulting sales in excess of $300K. * Consulted with major oil customer to develop new measurement technique for impedance matching network on down-hole probe. Customer standardized on test equipment, which resulted in 40 network analyzers to be purchased.
RAYTHEON, DALLAS, TEXAS 2005 - 2007 (A major supplier of defense technologies.)
Senior Electrical Engineer II 2007 - 2009 Developed production test systems for use in testing transmit/receive (T/R) modules for phased-array antennas. Integrated the test systems into the production environment and worked with software engineering to optimize test selection and reduce test times. * Redesigned test system loading to eliminate system stability issues.

Senior Electrical Engineer II (continued)
* Coordinated test team efforts to get sign off on test system operability for a major program. * Achieved Six Sigma certification through a project that identified programs at risk as a result of test equipment aging and prioritized replacement based on program impact.
TERRY SIMONS PLUMBING, CARROLLTON, TEXAS 2002 - 2005 (Provided plumbing and construction services in the Dallas-Ft Worth area.)
Plumber Apprentice 2001 - 2005 Performed the installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, re-model and repair of mechanical plumbing equipment and fixtures for water, gas, oil, steam, sewage, fire sprinkler/prevention, and refrigeration-related plumbing systems.
SYMTX, RICHARDSON, TEXAS 2000 - 2002 (A national systems integrator for electronic test systems.)
Senior Project Engineer 2000 - 2002 Consulted with electronics manufacturers in the design and development of automated test systems. Assisted the sales team by providing proposal generation and technical writing. * Designed a common architecture automated test system for a major telecom manufacturer that allowed any product to be tested on any test station in the factory, which resulted in more available test resources and less system downtime.
HEWLETT-PACKARD, RICHARDSON, TEXAS 1987 - 2000 (A global manufacturer of computers and electronic test and measurement equipment.)
Computer-Aided-Test Systems Engineer 1991 - 2000 Provided pre and post-sales support to the Southern Sales Region. Consulted and trained customers in the use and application of power products and data acquisition hardware and test software. Collaborated with sales team to respond to customer requests for proposals and bids. * Managed a major account for large power supply manufacturer. Provided on-site sales support for four years and maintained relationship and generated $20 million in hardware, software, education and consulting. Also recognized with national sales award for four years. * Identified downloading firmware problem for telecommunication customer. Sold customer one half day of our consulting services, which eliminated old test station through customized hardware, and alleviated a bottleneck in the factory.

Computer-Aided-Test Systems Engineer (continued)
* Conceptualized the software strategy for the company's Electronic Instrument Group (EIG). As a functional team member for the test and measurement sector, management selected my recommended approach over four other approaches. * Wrote the proposal draft letter for the Electronic Instrument Group's software strategy. Letter was used with minor changes to sell approach to the test and measurement management staff. Approach implemented and very successful.
RF/MW Systems Engineer 1987 - 1991 Provided pre and post-sales support to the Southern Sales Region. Consulted and trained customers in the use and application of RF/MW test equipment and software. Collaborated with sales team to respond to customer requests for proposals and bids. * Participated as part of sales team to win a major defense/aerospace contract award for test systems in the amount of $5M. Elected as top performer for the test and measurement areas that year. Developed training classes to meet specific needs of customer, which brought in $750,000.
TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, LEWISVILLE, TEXAS 1984 - 1987 (A US manufacturer of defense systems.)
Hardware/Software Design Engineer 1984 - 1987 Designed and provided factory support for HP Basic test system software. Software design included GUI, pass/fail testing and report generation for manufacturing systems and sub-systems products. * Created the first RF mixer (frequency translation device) test system as part of two-man engineering team. Took manual test and measurement process and wrote the code to automate procedures. Results were then automatically plotted. This automation reduced test time from 4 days to 45 minutes. * Analyzed, tested and reengineered a top-down manufacturing design. This redesign reduced test time by approximately 50%. * Selected to analyze current computer network and came up with a more workable approach to daily processing. Discovered department had no daily backup if system went down. Implemented the solution in the engineering laboratory. Moved new network to the production floor and networked to 20 test systems.
HEWLETT-PACKARD, RICHARDSON, TEXAS 1982 - 1984 (A global manufacturer of computers and electronic test and measurement equipment.)
Field Engineer, Houston, TX 1983 - 1984 Sold computers and test and measurement products to a geographic territory in and around Houston, TX. * Achieved 95% of yearly quota within 6 months before leaving for another career opportunity.
