Project Manager/Senior Consultant
- Lawson Certified S3 - Lawson Enterprise Financial Management Implementation - version 9.0

Mr. Silva most recently lead the rapid financial implementation of Lawson 9.0.3 for a new multinational/ multicurrency aircraft leasing organization live in less than 90 days from the Lawson server install - with complex interfaces, complex consolidations and eliminations, data conversions and business process design, with limited client involvement. Mr. Silva also recently assisted a major Arizona healthcare system with an 8.0.3 to 9.0.0.4 upgrade. Prior to that Mr. Silva assisted healthcare clients with 8.0.x implementations, report writing, etc.

* 8.0.3 - 9.0.0.4 Upgrade for major Arizona healthcare provider system.
* Setup 9.0.3 General Ledger (GL), Flex Budgets (FB) and Project Accounting (AC) structures to facilitate a reporting structure of well over 100 legal entities with complex consolidations and eliminations.
* Setup and advised on Recurring Journals (RJ)
* Users were trained to use Excel Add-In's to help automate routine entries. Wrote queries to pull data from the system for end users to utilize.
* Designed, tested, went live and supported Capital Tracking via AC, AM, CU, and ML to track capital purchases and reporting in US GAAP, IFRS, Irish GAAP, US Federal Tax via Lawson Multi-Ledger (ML). Setup budget edits and AC Commitments from Project Budgets to RQ10 requisitions to facilitate real time capital budget and approval processes.
* Setup multi-company/multi-currency cash accounts in Cash Management (CB) to accept complex international banking feeds from Citibank to semi-automate the banking transactions booking, reporting and reconciliation of the treasury management area
* Wrote reports to assist management in maintaining the ledgers
* Custom Excel Add-in queries developed to assist with multi-company queries

Project Manager/Senior Lawson Financial Consultant - Certified 8.0

Mr. Silva brought multiple Lawson healthcare clients live while with Superior using versions from 7.2.4 to 8.0.3. He assisted three large faith-based multi-state/ multi-facility hospital/healthcare provider systems and several other community based one-hospital systems, including a Nationwide Physician Practice Management Organization and a Patient Trial Organization and a healthcare insurance provider in Michigan. Mr. Silva also assisted Hospital Foundations, Long Term Care Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), etc.

* Responsible for the Lawson 8.0.3 Finance standardization and implementation of a large multi-state, multi-hospital healthcare delivery organization in Michigan. Assisted with the "first phase" to bring multiple states live while training the organization's "internal consultant's" to independently lead the remaining phases and states without his assistance. Mr. Silva assisted with most financial modules in version 8.0.3. Setup Asset Tracking, General Ledger, AP/MA, Cash Ledger, Activities, etc.
* Responsible for the Lawson 8.0.1 Financial Implementation of a leading faith-based multi-facility healthcare provider based in New York City in 2001. Most financial modules were implemented including the use of Activity Management (AC) to manage the health system's grants prior to Lawson Grant Management (GM) module's release. Setup Asset Tracking, General Ledger, Cash Ledger, AP/MA, Activities, etc.
* Mr. Silva assisted a smaller start-up organization in version 7.2.4 as both project manager and hands-on full service financial consultant. He implemented most of the financial modules and converted the legacy data and setup an ADP interface to bring this Lawson client successfully live as the only consultant/ project manager on the project.

Mr. Silva entered consulting in 1998 as an independent sub-contractor. He worked mostly as consultant representing Lawson Software on projects directly with the software company.

* Assisted a nationwide operator of Long Term Care Facilities in the southwest to implement financials in version 7.2.4
* Assisted with go-live support to a well known non-profit hospital and educational system in Dallas in 7.0.8 - helping reconcile and setup reports for intercompany accounts in the general ledger
* Helped design, setup and test the Asset Management (AM) system at an international construction company in Denver
* Assisted a hospital in Beverly Hills with a GL Shell for their HR/PR project

Responsible for managing a staff of three accountants and a large group of AR and AP clerks to produce financial statements for a Catholic Healthcare system in the southwest with three hospitals, a long term care facility, adult daycare, a foundation, etc.

* Managed the 1st ever Lawson Software implementation of a CHI owned entity. This was the pilot 7.0.8 program of the subsequent CHI Lawson implementation in Denver
* Helped develop the new GL Chart of Accounts that was the later basis of the new Lawson chart at CHI
* Helped develop a new reporting structure for the GL that became a model for later CHI projects
* As Accounting Manager, Mr. Silva was responsible for reporting month end numbers at the close meeting (except for revenue and AR numbers handled outside of his department)
* Responsible for hiring staff
* Managed the accounting needs of over 100 hospital nurse managers and others responsible for P&L's
