SELECTED PROJECTS

• FINRA Surveillance Design and Implementation. In support of FINRA's Market Regulation staff, responsible for defining, constructing and maintaining electronic surveillance programs designed to identify potential rule violations and/or market manipulation resulting in investor harm. Responsible for ensuring that surveillance program areas reflects business and technical needs and meets all requirements. Responsible for interfacing between area experts and technology staff.

• Analyzed survey data and developed survey support applications. For several SAMHSA/CMHS surveys of mental health organizations and client surveys, used SAS to set up the surveys and select the samples. Used SQL, ASP, HTML, VBScript, JavaScript, and Crystal Reports to provide sophisticated survey-support systems to track and process all survey data. Survey data was processed through paper forms and faxes in addition to the websites. Developed a sophisticated array of validation routines to test the data and code changes. Used SAS to do edits, imputations, weights, report writing, tabulations, and file distributions. Each iteration of these projects added additional functionality and value for the client without added cost.

• Designed www.EmbracingOurTraditions.com, an extremely powerful website that supported the functions for every phase of this extremely complex national conference. Employed ASP, SQL, HTML, VB Script and JavaScript under difficult circumstances to satisfy demanding conference attendees from around the world. This website was widely recognized as an important part of making this conference a success.

• Developed an application for the clinical trials support system for NIH/DAIDS using Delphi and MS SQL. This application supported all facets of the regulatory operations system for several NIH/DAIDS clinical trials programs.

• Planned and led a significant expansion of the ADAA's SQL membership database, integrating several new functions into the existing system, including automatic generation of renewal notices and daily membership labels. Used Crystal Reports to develop several new reports to facilitate planning and budgeting.

• Participated as a key member of a system design team that used SAS to develop a microcomputer-based micro-simulation model that simulated the financial impact of healthcare reform proposals for the White House Healthcare Reform Commission. Performed overnight modifications of comprehensive reports to Congress, the CBO, and the White House during a highly politicized analytical effort. TECHNICAL SKILLS
