SAMPLE of A FEW APPLICABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I initiated design and implementation of Long Range Fire Support Sensor for Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Developed project plan and proposal including cost and schedule and helped in sale of the system. As project engineer I lead and directed the design, documentation, fabrication, installation, hardware and software integration, system testing and V & V. Directed preparation of production & acceptance testing documentation. I supported customer acceptance testing. The product was successful beyond belief and all A3 Bradley vehicles are now being retrofitted with this long-range system.
I conceived and developed Instrumentation & Control System for world`s first and only one hundred-kilowatt (scalable to multi-megawatt) Space Reactor Power System commonly known as SP-100. I directed simulations, analysis, detailed design, and conducted SRR, PDR, and CDR. I coordinated fabrication of prototype and made necessary preparations for its ground testing at Hanford. President Clinton discontinued space nuclear effort in 1993 and I helped achieving of the design at Oakridge National Laboratory.
I conceived and fabricated marketing simulation model of world`s first computer based -Advanced Control Room- for terrestrial Nuclear Power Plants. The model was based on GE BWR 4 design. The invention was featured in -60 Minutes-. I performed engineering and marketing analysis of the product, developed prototypes and proved that concept was not only feasible but also practical. Developed proposal and prepared cost estimate and implementation schedule. I helped sell the product to PP&L for their two (1350 MWe each) BWR 4 power plants located at the banks of Susquehanna River near Berwick, Pennsylvania. I guided implementation of this highly successful multimillion-dollar product that now is contributing towards exemplary capacity factor of the plant. Later under GE`s licensing arrangement with Toshiba I helped in transfer of Technology to Japan. Associated concepts are now widely used in current generation nuclear plants all over the world.
As lead engineer, I developed, implemented and documented the design of six major systems of models BWR 4, 5 and 6 of GE`s nuclear power plants. Over a span of 20 years, I guided sale and implantation of aforementioned systems in sixteen domestic and foreign BWR power plants. The contributed value of the endeavor was several hundred million dollars in sales and billing for GE Nuclear Energy business.
After -Three Mile Island Accident- I developed and qualified a multiplexer unit that is capable of operating inside the BWR Mark II & III containment during and after design basis LOCA. To best of my knowledge to-date there exists no other such unit that can match its total dose gamma, neutron fluence and temperature specifications.
I developed V & V requirements for all International Space Station (ISS) Biological Research Project hardware for the Space Station and Ground Support hardware. Supported testing and performed verification review of as built Animal Enclosure Module for experiment in Space Shuttle Flight STS-108.
