( Member of team that built a three tier data warehouse from six transactional claim systems. The first tier was a uniform data model, the second tier was multiple star schemas with "as-is" and "as-was" perspectives, and the third was a business intelligence layer of OLAP data cubes.

( Led initial product launch for HBSI ACTION (now owned and operated by Thompson Reuters), a national financial benchmarking tool for comparing costs by department and discharge across VHA hospitals. Demonstrated a prototype in March '95, and designed, developed, beta tested, marketed, installed and trained 350 hospitals by December for total sales of $4.4 million.
( Managed first dataset for accurate cost comparison in the WA State. Used state discharge summary of all admissions, adjusted for APRDRG severity level, urban/rural wage index, Medicare cost reports and removed statistical outliers, thus allowing for the first time accurate comparisons across ALOS and Cost by APDRGs.
