( Member of team that built a three tier data warehouse from six transactional claim systems. The first tier was a uniform data model, the second tier was multiple star schemas with "as-is" and "as-was" perspectives, and the third was a business intelligence layer of OLAP data cubes.
( Developed specifications for initial model by performing requirements interviews with actuary, underwriting, marketing, medical services and network development. Resolved data modeling challenges, wrote ETL specifications, tested data feeds and all releases.

( Led initial product launch for HBSI ACTION (now owned and operated by Thompson Reuters), a national financial benchmarking tool for comparing costs by department and discharge across VHA hospitals. Demonstrated a prototype in March '95, and designed, developed, beta tested, marketed, installed and trained 350 hospitals by December for total sales of $4.4 million.
( Managed first dataset for accurate cost comparison in the WA State. Used state discharge summary of all admissions, adjusted for APRDRG severity level, urban/rural wage index, Medicare cost reports and removed statistical outliers, thus allowing for the first time accurate comparisons across ALOS and Cost by APDRGs.
