Maintenance Technician II / Provisioning Technician II (2001-2009)
Maintained Verizon's telecommunications network to ensure the continuous delivery of services to domestic and international clients. Assisted the Central Provisioning Center with all circuit and mux installation, modification and disconnect projects throughout the world. Ensured adherence to maintenance center processes for flash situations. Provided technical phone support to resolve IPL/GDL trouble tickets and assist with STM-1 Level installation orders. Engaged the assistance of other support group members to solve complex issues and customer escalations. Leveraged equipment engineering expertise and appropriate testing tools to detect, troubleshoot and communicate technical faults impacting network components to customers, telecom providers, vendors and support groups. Monitored and analyzed the performance, software loops and alarm histories of specific equipment to isolate problems. Conducted remote tests and provided operational support in collaboration with other carriers and network locations to ensure circuit integrity. Maintained databases to accurately record and track all trouble tickets and reported issues. * Facilitated the overseas resolution of an STM-1 level issue that intermittently affected the delivery of telecom services to 1K+ customers by utilizing Centest and TB310 test equipment in addition to accessing required daxes using correct logins to isolate the source of trouble.
* Played a key role in acquiring Bloomberg Financial as a Verizon client and generating millions of dollars in revenue after identifying and resolving a network configuration issue that affected access to their corporate site using Centest and TB310 test sets.
* Consolidated the Verizon MCIT Room in Piscataway 6 months ahead of schedule by effectively working with a telecommunications engineer in Texas throughout the entire project lifecycle, which involved determining whether circuits were still active and wired; disconnecting functioning circuits and moving them to a new path; and documenting all changes within corporate databases.




Data Technician II (1985-2001)
Installed, maintained and provided technical support to ensure the 24/7 delivery of Verizon's Data Services, including all analog, digital, transmission, messaging and related services. Setup all equipment, cabling and cross connects to establish and support all of the revenue and administrative services of Verizon's central and customer offices. Tested all systems prior to implementation within the production environment to ensure compliance with all manufacturer and/or engineering specifications for proper functioning. Utilized appropriate test systems and logged into specific equipment to analyze, isolate and resolve existing technical issues impacting performance, software loops and alarm histories. Served as the sole person in charge of maintaining and updating records on several database systems, including the cross-connect and IMAPS customer databases.

* Coordinated all aspects of circuit installation projects in Piscataway ITMC, which involved issuing wiring orders to proper parties as well as troubleshooting all issues incurred using various test equipment.
* Significantly reduced overhead costs by installing new cables and patch panels in Verizon's telephone room and the Piscataway ITMC to reroute traffic off other telecom carriers and into corporate facilities.
* Ensured compliance with provisioning standards by successfully revising and updating all the records on several corporate database systems.
