PROFILE An innovative, customer focused, results oriented Systems Engineering Professional with many years of experience in a variety of fast paced, technologically sophisticated environments. Deep experience in systems management, Windows servers monitoring and Windows desktop operating systems deployment.
An effective communicator, collaborator and troubleshooter, who works well on his own and as a significant technical resource in a team environment. A pragmatic problem solver, whose sound technical expertise has continually enhanced the corporate bottom line. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS * Designed and developed a Microsoft .NET based multi-tiered application to automate most of the activities associated with the configuration and deployment of Microsoft Windows based desktop operating systems. This automated operating system deployment application made it possible for medium and large enterprises to considerably lower operating costs and time required to complete deployment activities to more than 100,000+ new and existing desktop computers.
* Engineered and developed Tivoli Enterprise Console (T/EC) correlation rules to aggregate, analyze and act upon the events received from multiple server monitoring systems running on Microsoft Windows and SUN Solaris operating systems. The T/EC rules enabled the client support personnel to be pro-active and respond rapidly to potential problem conditions on the monitored client servers. EDS was thus able to effectively honor their contractual service level agreements with their clients.
* Developed T/EC rules to process every alert at a national location from regional T/EC servers and to interface with a BMC Remedy Action Request System server (trouble ticket system). Centralization of event monitoring contributed to lower the operating costs.
* Developed specialized software interfaces and utility programs to meet the requirements inherent to client-server environments with disparate applications and monitoring systems requiring inter-communications at the data and network levels.
* Worked under non-disclosure agreements with vendors to perform in-depth software evaluations, testing, quality assurance, problems reporting and recommendations. Feedback provided to the vendors allowed them to deliver products with fewer issues thus improving the customers satisfaction.
* Developed an application to bridge the Aspect Automatic Call Distribution telephony switch information to the Blue Pumpkin Prime Time Enterprise workforce management application. This allowed SHL Systemhouse to more effectively manage the help desk resources allocation.
* Developed bi-directional software interfaces to allow HP AssetView and Remedy Action Request System to synchronize asset information thus reducing operational cost of maintaining customer asset information.
* Successfully designed and developed core components of the Los Angeles Fire Department dispatch system within an aggressive timeframe henceforth allowing SHL Systemhouse to recover from an ailing project and later renew and extend the contract with the city of Los Angeles.
