WORK EXPERIENCE

NAI Construction, Inc: President and Owner
Full time from February 2006 to present & part time from 1997 to February 2006.

Business owner responsible of all aspects of building Custom Homes, while also managing major renovation projects throughout South Carolina. Manage all aspects of the business on a daily bases, including advertising, making contact with customers and closing the deals, overseeing all employees and contractors. Licensed, Insured, and Bonded SC Residential Builder. Started renovating distressed properties in 1997 (part-time) and once completed project, rented or sold the properties. I turned the company into an Investment Company dealing in the Washington DC Metropolitan Real Estate Market in 2004, before moving to South Carolina and obtaining my South Carolina Builder's License. Able to build from start to finish, understand blue prints, market and sell Real Estate, write and understand contracts, handle legal issues both dealing with closings, investor and sub-contractor contracts, complete hands on renovation work (if needed), schedule contractors and follow-up on their work, understand Real Estate tax laws, handle property management issues, and some accounting.

June 2001 to June 2005

Over 14 years of experience for Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security (DS) in security electronic engineering, design using CAD LT, project management, installation, and troubleshooting. Helped create a new Engineering Department for the U.S. Government. Imposed a high degree of professionalism to ensure accurate completion of designs and engineering projects in a timely manner. Resolved challenges, found solutions to system and equipment complexities, and rendered advice and guidance to staff and client inquiries. Handled all Engineer's evaluations, pay raises, personnel (time and attendance, approval of expense reports, etc.) and employee issues. Managed employees on creating computer programs to automate certain work task, which resulted in time and money savings. Working with DS employees help create new Design Standards adopted by DoS and ManTech. Managed the largest American Consulate security engineering project (over a million square feet) in the history of the United States, while setting new standards for the US government's electronic security systems. The systems that were installed cost in the millions of dollars and at the time was some of the highest technical systems within the U.S. Government. Managed the Engineer that designed the security systems for the Jeddah Saudi Arabia's American Consultant, which was attacked by Terrorists with no injuries to Americans. The Electronic Security Systems worked as designed, saving lives. Recommended that each Design Engineer produce a section for a Design Engineering Book to include detailed information about each system and how it works and how the Engineers should design it. The DoS Section Chief and Assistant Section Chief for Project Management and Engineering (PME) complimented the usefulness of this book. Initiated the Design Review Process to save time, money, and errors. Established a Final Review Design Process to include CAD related issues and Project Implementation issues. In 2004, consulted for ManTech to the NY/NJ Port Authority on Airport Security issues.
